Baul Mysticism in Kushtia- A Travel Diary to Lalon’s Shrine
Hello Everyone, I hope everyone is well today I have come to you with a new travel post. In this post I will tell you about my visit to Lalon Shah's shrine.
Who was Lalon Shah?
This person known as Lalon Shah or Fakir Lalon is a Baul Sadhak (Baul musician), philosopher and lyricist. He denied caste, religion and color differences and gave priority to humanity. He tried to awaken people to human consciousness through music. That is why he was known as a very well-known Baul Sadhak in Bengal.
About The Visit
I went here once a long time ago. Going here reminded me of those old days. Back then it was a little different, there were many other shops around and it was mostly empty, but now it has changed a lot and become more beautiful. Its interior is still the same, starting from the gate.

Although I have not seen it inside, it is said here that Lalon Shah's grave is inside this house and this shrine has been built so beautifully next to it.
The Baul emperor loved to play the Ektara, so he always had an Ektara with him, with which he often composed songs. In his memory, a beautiful Ektara has been built next to this shrine.
Then I went to a museum inside it and there are many drawings and old things of Lalon. Among them are the sticks in his hand and used utensils.

A wooden statue of Lalon was made here. Which was very extraordinary to look at and an old bone was kept under it, but people have thrown a lot of money and money here. Many people do not understand the value of these, those people often do such things.

Then you will see many beautiful art and paintings made in memory of Lalon Shah, which are very extraordinary and if you see the pictures inside, you will understand how good he was and helped people. Everyone knows his humanitarian qualities, he considered everyone equal and he used to move forward with the help of everyone. There was no difference in religion, caste or ethnicity in him. He used to help all people as human beings. At that time, these were very common, and he called people to be humane.

Here you can see that Lalon Shah was very wise and he was always ready to help the common people, even though he chose to be a fakir at that time, he helped people as much as he could.

Not only that, people also loved and respected him a lot, so today a shrine has been built in his memory. And this is a place of inspiration for all of Bengal, when people come here, they understand how much they can help others and why helping is so important.

There was a place for an event here where many fakirs and sadhaks would sit and sing and play music, and here they would come as devotees of Lalon Shah and do their activities.
Then we went outside this shrine where many memorable things are made, especially wooden things that are used for daily needs. Among them, Ektaara and many types of food are more popular.
Then I went to a big field next to it where Lalon's devotees hold an event at one time of the year, which is a very big event where people come from outside to see them.
There are many beautiful statues and art of Lalon all around. Which are very beautiful and creatively made. It is very amazing to see them. It is not only inside but also all around outside.
I really liked visiting here that I was able to visit such a place of humane people. I have learned a lot about him and I have understood the importance of never making any distinction between people. We are all human and we will all come forward to help each other. This way we can all live in a beautiful environment with love.
Thanks you so much for reading. See you next :)
