From Stress to Breathtaking View: Discovering the Chasing Beauty of Ta' Kalanka Sea Cave, Malta.

Hello Travellers and welcome to our Malta adventure! 👋
After the unexpected parking incident in Valletta, we were ready to begin our road trip around Malta.
Malta is a small island but there are lots of places to offer. Yes, it's overcrowded with tourists and it was not yet the peak season we had our vacation last June. But with a good plan, my husband makes our itinerary. So we had to enjoy every place we visited. And Ta's Kalanta was our first road trip destination.
Everyone buckled and he started the engine. My husband realized that driving with the wheel on the right side was a bit stressful. He told us that it's been a decade since he last drove on the same side. He kept calm, the gears, the road and slowly got comfortable. Finally, he was back in control and with confidence in driving.
We laughed about what happened and then we felt hungry. Since the parking lot was difficult in the area.

We stopped at a small local bakery. We bought some fresh pastries, pizza and kebab. Quickly ordered then back inside the car.
It felt so simple and we're happy, enjoying our late breakfast inside the car. It was the simplest meal with the music in the stereo car.
With our stomachs finally full, then we continued our journey. The drive itself became part of the adventure.

The road curved along the coast and suddenly it opened up. On the side, the sparkling Maltese sea water is so clear, with a bright blue sky, and fishing boats in the distance.

There was a sign that said “BAJJA TA' SAN TUMAS"-San Tumas Bay. We could see the town houses on the hills.
That day the sun was strong and we just opened up the car window. I love how the air feels warm and salty. Another satisfying view was every turn gave us a postcard view.
My husband was even more happy and kept vibing on the music. He even forgot he was nervous before about driving and the scenery just took over.
Along the way, we could see the island was growing. A lot of buildings are under construction. Then it slowly began to change the scenery.
The roads became much quieter as we drove farther. Wide streets slowly turned into narrow, rougher coastal roads.
It turned into a different world because of rocky landscapes, cactus along the road and dry grass. It turned into a different world because of rocky landscapes, cacti along the road and dry grass.
Finally, we arrived at our destination-Ta' Kalanka Sea Cave.

The moment we stepped out of the car, the sun was strong and immediately welcomed us. But the view in front of us was absolutely breathtaking. And we completely forgot about the heat.

White limestone cliffs surrounded the crystal clear blue water. It was a different shade of blue-from deep navy for turquoise that made the view look so unreal.
We spent our time admiring the incredible view. What a paradise??!!!! It really looks like a picture perfect postcard.
By simply standing beside my husband and quietly taking everything in. Words aren't enough to describe Ta' Kalanka.
Malta is a small island and like the saying goes: Small but Terrible. Terrible in good way. From peaceful surroundings, endless blue Maltese sea and dramatic cliffs created one of the most beautiful views we had seen.
You will fall in love in the best way.

It reminded me again why I love traveling and discovering beautiful destination with my family. Each with its own beauty, story and unforgettable memories to cherish FOREVER.
And that was our first stop: Ta' Kalanka Sea Cave. Hope you like it. More road trip adventures are coming in my next blog. Stay tuned!
