Open market of antiques in Groznjan, Croatia

When I wrote about Groznjan, a small town in the interior of Istria that I visited with my family during the summer, I found some more photos that I planned to share with you. As soon as we arrived, before entering the cobbled narrow picturesque streets of the old town, we saw an open market.

I was attracted by the fact that I saw some quite old and unusual items that I wasn't even sure what they were for.

There was a beautiful view from above of the green hills of Istria. The air was very fresh and pleasant.

I was especially interested in models of ships made from some old items, including a sewing machine.

I liked the square and lively atmosphere where this open market is located. Everything was happening quietly and playfully. I was already intrigued enough to continue towards entering Groznjan. But before that, I stopped to look at some more items.

There was also a monument dedicated to the writer and sculptor Aleksandar Rukavina, who started an art colony and contributed to making this town a town of art.

The square also houses the Church of St. Vitus, Modestus and Crescentia from the 18th century, a historical landmark worth visiting.

And if you want to stay in a nice place where you will feel comfortable, there is Artegnana 1798, a bed and breakfast bistro that offers beautiful accommodation and very good service. The building in which it is located dates from the second half of the 18th century.

That was all about Groznjan for this year. I hope that I will continue to explore Istria in the next year and visit more beautiful places.
