The Venezuelan Caribbean is an area that hides true treasures and tropical paradises, places that seem blessed by the creative hand of nature and that despite the passing of the years the destructive power of man has not managed to dilute the grandeur and beauty of a space that thanks to appropriate policies and a deep sense of belonging is maintained in optimal ecological conditions, becoming a tourist icon of invaluable characteristics and that generates pride for the entire eastern part of the country.

El Caribe venezolano es una zona que esconde verdaderos tesoros y paraísos tropicales, lugares que parecen bendecidos por la mano creadora de la naturaleza y que a pesar del transcurrir de los años el poder destructor del hombre no ha conseguido diluir la grandeza y belleza de un espacio que gracias a las políticas apropiadas y a un profundo sentido de pertenencia se mantiene en óptimas condiciones ecológicas, convirtiéndose en un icono turístico de características invaluables y que genera orgullo para todo el oriente del país.

A little more than 12 km northeast of the tourist berth of the city of Puerto la Cruz, is the island Chimana Segunda, right in the middle of the shipping lanes to Margarita Island and in the heart of the so-called Mochima National Park, which is a natural reservoir and a tourist paradise par excellence, where we can find beautiful landscapes, crystal clear waters and a people who are always ready to welcome all visitors. To get to Playa del Faro it is necessary to take a boat and sail the sea for about 20 minutes, this is a journey that is dominated by large mountains, a deep blue and this time clear skies.

A un poco más de 12 km al noreste del atracadero turístico de la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz, se encuentra la isla Chimana Segunda, justo en el medio de las rutas de navegación hacia la isla de Margarita y en el corazón del denominado Parque Nacional Mochima, el cual es un reservorio natural y un paraíso turístico por excelencia, en donde podremos encontrar hermosos paisajes, aguas cristalinas y un pueblo que siempre se encuentra dispuesto a recibir a todos Los visitantes. Para llegar a playa del faro es necesario tomar una lancha y surcar el mar durante unos 20 minutos, Este es un trayecto que se encuentra dominado por grandes montañas, un azul profundo y en esta ocasión cielos despejados.

My visit to this wonderful place was in the company of my parents and some friends, who in the search for adventure decided to embark on a route to a totally unknown point and fortunately destiny pushed us to one of the most beautiful beaches that my eyes have been able to see.

Mi visita a este maravilloso lugar se dio en compañía de mis padres y unos amigos, quienes en la búsqueda de aventuras decidimos emprender una ruta hacia un punto totalmente desconocido y fue así como afortunadamente el destino nos empujó hacer una de las playas más hermosas que mis ojos han podido ver.

It is a small bay, whose sand of very fine characteristics are the perfect complement to a beach with totally crystalline waters and whose light effect between the sunlight and the seabed makes us face a greenish hue that the most beautiful jewels of the known world. I really have no words to describe the emotion I felt when my boat docked at the dock and I could walk to the small churuatas that welcome us, as I was totally ecstatic by the tranquility of the place, the beauty of its surroundings and how close and accessible it is to the coast.

Se trata de una pequeña bahía, cuya arena de características muy finas son el complemento perfecto de una playa con aguas totalmente cristalinas y cuyo efecto lumínico entre la luz solar y el fondo marino hace que nos encontremos frente a una tonalidad verdosa que las joyas más bellas del mundo conocido. Realmente no tengo palabras para describir la emoción que sentí cuando mi lancha atracó en el muelle y pude caminar hacia las pequeñas churuatas que nos dan la bienvenida, ya que estaba totalmente Extasiado por la tranquilidad del lugar, la belleza de su entorno y lo realmente cerca y accesible que se encuentra con respecto a la costa.

In the highest part of a small mountain with a view of the coast, there is an iconic lighthouse of medium height, which today is a tourist attraction, but I suppose that in colonial times it was an artifact of incalculable value, since you don't have to be an expert to realize that navigating among these waters full of rocks, islands and sandbanks is really risky.

En la parte más alta, de una pequeña montaña con vista se la veía se encuentra un icónico faro de mediana altura, el cual hoy se constituye como un atractivo turístico, pero supongo que en tiempos coloniales se trataba de un artefacto de un valor incalculable, puesto que no hay que ser experto para darse cuenta de que navegar entre estas aguas llenas de rocas, Islas y bancos de arena es realmente riesgoso.

We arrived around 9 in the morning and, therefore, I did not waste a second and I dedicated myself to enjoy the most of an incredible experience, I bathed for hours, I walked every inch of the coast and tried to take as many pictures as possible, always thinking of keeping a photographic record of each trip, since we do not know if life will give us the opportunity to return or if simply what we experienced at that moment will only remain as a nice memory.

Llegamos sobre las 9 de la mañana y, por lo tanto, yo no perdí ni un segundo y me dediqué a disfrutar al máximo de una experiencia increíble, me bañé durante horas, recorrí cada centímetro de la costa e intenté tomar tantas fotografías como me fuera posible, siempre pensando en guardar un registro fotográfico de cada viaje, puesto que no sabemos si la vida nos dará la oportunidad de regresar o si sencillamente lo vivido en ese momento solo quedará como un lindo recuerdo.

Although the sky tried to cloud over on several occasions, the sun prevailed like a giant on the horizon, giving us the opportunity to get a full tan, swim to our heart's content and counteract the low temperatures of a water that seems immobile, in whose bottom we can see some corals, different species of fish and the occasional rock.

A pesar de que el cielo en diversas oportunidades intentó nublarse, el sol prevaleció como un gigante en el horizonte, dándonos la oportunidad de broncearnos a plenitud, bañarnos a todo gusto y contrarrestar Las bajas temperaturas de un agua que parece inmóvil, en cuyo fondo podemos apreciar algunos corales, distintas especies de peces y alguna que otra roca.

If we move towards the north of the bay we will find a terrain that stands out for its reddish color, here the sand is transformed into dust and the whole environment becomes desert and arid, is an area where the wind blows very hard and where without realizing we go on a weak but constant slope, which ends abruptly in a series of cliffs that fall directly on a sea that in this area is undoubtedly much more energetic.

Si nos desplazamos hacia el norte de la Bahía nos encontraremos con un terreno que se destaca por ser de color rojizo, acá la arena se transforma en polvo y todo el entorno se vuelve desértico y árido, es un área en donde el viento sopla con mucha fuerza Y en donde sin darnos cuenta vamos sobre una débil, pero constante pendiente, la cual finaliza de manera abrupta en una serie de riscos que caen directo sobre un mar que en esta zona es sin duda alguna mucho más enérgico.

It is incredible how in a small environment we can find a beautiful bay, a small desert and some wooded and tropical vegetation. This island is really a small sample of what Venezuela is, a place that has it all, whose contrasts are beautiful and unique.

Es increíble como en un pequeño entorno podemos encontrar una hermosa bahía, un pequeño desierto y algo de vegetación boscosa y tropical. Realmente esta isla es una pequeña muestra de lo que es Venezuela, un lugar que lo tiene todo, cuyos contrastes son preciosos y sus contrastes únicos.

The perfect complement to this trip was to have made it in the company of family and friends, because with them the adventure is much more intense, the memories are deeper and the joys are unmatched. Today, some time after having been in that place, I feel very proud and happy for having had the opportunity to enjoy this beach to the fullest, since it is one of the most beautiful areas of the National Park, a place that little by little has been known internationally and where every day more and more tourists are arriving.

El complemento perfecto para este viaje fue haberlo realizado en compañía de familiares y amigos, ya que con ellos la aventura es mucho más intensa, los recuerdos son más profundos y las alegrías son inigualables. Hoy un tiempo después haber estado en Aquel lugar me siento muy orgulloso y feliz por haber tenido la oportunidad de disfrutar al máximo de esa playa, ya que se trata de uno de los espacios más bellos de todo el Parque Nacional, un lugar que poco a poco se ha ido conociendo a nivel internacional y a donde cada día van llegando más y más turistas.

In spite of being one of the most developed beaches in this area, since they offer various services and tourist attractions, I realized that they work to maintain an ecologically stable environment, where human presence does not constitute a risk factor and where the natural wealth of an island that is surely of vital importance for all those species that live around it is preserved in a great way.

A pesar de ser una de las playas más desarrolladas de toda esta zona, puesto que nos ofrecen diversos servicios y atenciones turísticas, me di cuenta de que se trabaja para mantener un entorno ecológicamente estable, en donde la presencia humana no constituye un factor de riesgo y en donde se preserve de gran manera la riqueza natural de una isla que seguramente es de Vital importancia para todas aquellas especies que habitan a su alrededor.

I hope to return at some point to enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of this beach, but at the same time from here I want to invite everyone that if at some point you approach the East of Venezuela, do not hesitate for a second to take a boat and embark on your own adventure, but very beautiful Caribbean paradise, a place where memories are forged and beautiful postcards are captured.

Espero volver en algún momento a disfrutar de la belleza y singularidad de esta playa, pero al mismo tiempo desde acá quiero invitar a todos a que si en algún momento se acercan al Oriente de Venezuela, no duden ni un segundo en tomar una lancha y emprender su propia aventura, pero muy hermoso paraíso caribeño, un lugar en donde se forjan recuerdos y se capturan hermosas postales.
