A Glimpse of Sitio Makawa Nature Place In Naawan, Misamis Oriental Mindanao, Philippines

Sitio Makawa in Naawan, Misamis Oriental has its own Relaxing and Natural views because of the Presence of Nature at the Place. Today, I will take you to some parts of the place for a short tour and glimpse of the Sitio particularly the River, Mountains and plains. Sitio Makawa is really far from Barangay Poblacion and it takes almost an hour of walking tour starting from the main road going to the bridge where the Sitio is located at the other side of the cliff. This is also the Last Sitio of the Municipality and known as the Border point between the two Municipalities, The Municipality of Naawan and Manticao.

Before we reach the Sitio, first we pass here in this steel bridge constructed by the Local Government here in Naawan. It is supported with big concrete blocks that served as strong foundation of the structure. This is the main way in order to cross to the other side of the place. The maximum weigh capacity reach up to 5 tons and bicycle and motorcycle can only cross in here. The bridge is also supported with lots of cables and flat bars served as the floor of the bridge. On each side of the bridge consists this kind of unique arch coated with colorful paints and solar lights so the bridge will lighted and shine every night. It is also supported with handle bars so everyone can hold when it shakes while crossing the bridge. This structure was built past few years and very important to all residents at the sitio.

After crossing the bridge, we need to walk a few meters away heading in this rocky road. This place was newly escavated and developed into a simple road as long as wooden cart loaded with crops can pass. It is surrounded with lots of agricultural plants like coconuts and banana plants. This road is near at the river that is why it is very easy to see those cliffs and fresh water flows at the water channel. Mountainers and riders always went here and pass here in this rocky road to have an adventurous moments while traveling going to the Sitio.

Every summer season, this parts of the river here will turned into very clear and as for that there are lots of children went to bathed and enjoyed splashing of water. Aside of that, few fishermen also went here throwing their net in the water. It is surrounded with tall and big trees but because of the deep parts of the water, it cannot be passable and isolated particularly near at the Stream channel where it connected to the river. It is very shallow and steady water here and the only thing we heard here are tweeting of birds and splashing of water. Back many years ago, this place here was passable by wooden cart loaded with crops but now it cannot be passable because of the deep water.

At the hill are hundreds of tall and big trees planted by the residents. They really wanted to plant more trees so it can help the place cool and relaxing, aside of that it helps to hold the soil and cannot be collapsing. This place here contains lots of germilina trees and some few fruit trees like manggoes. Lots of wild animals like birds and thick bushes and wild grass also grows in here. Those who loves to do mountain climbing adventure will really fit this place for the said adventorous activities.

Aside of those wild trees grows, hundreds of old coconut plants can also be seen here. This wide nad plain areas of the Sitio contains lots of it not only at the plain land but also in the slope areas of the hill. People who came from far places likes to do camping and picnics here because of the great overviews and clean place. Even of this place is quitely far from urbaned areas, still it will be very worth it to visit here and spending time bonding with Nature. Until next post, have a safe travel to everyone.
