Hello my dear friends of Pinmapple and Hive as a whole, I hope you are having a great day. Today, we will visit a place that is very close to Paris and that I know will blow your mind. It is the house and gardens of Monet, the painter himself who immortalized himself with his wonderful works.

This place was recommended to me by my parents, who had visited it on a trip they had made previously. As they knew that I love nature, they were sure that Monet's gardens would be a great attraction for me, and so it was.

Not only for the place itself, which is a marvel, but for the whole concept that this space shares, since we are talking about the source of inspiration of one of the greatest painters in history.

Hola mis queridos amigos de Pinmapple y de Hive en su totalidad, espero que estén teniendo un gran día. Hoy, visitaremos un lugar que queda muy cerquita de París y que sé que los hará alucinar. Se trata de la casa y los jardines de Monet, el mismísimo pintor que se inmortalizó a sí mismo con sus maravillosas obras.

A este lugar me lo recomendaron mis padres, que lo habían visitado en un viaje que habían hecho ellos previamente. Como sabían que me gustan mucho los espacios con naturaleza, tenían por seguro que los jardines de Monet serían un gran atractivo para mí, y así fue.

No solamente por el lugar en sí, que es una maravilla, sino por todo el concepto que este espacio comparte, pues estamos hablando de la fuente de inspiración de uno de los más grandes pintores de la historia.

Traveling to Monet's Gardens

To go, I bought an excursion with transfer and everything. I was in my first two weeks of travel and I had already lost my way in London going to Harry Potter Studios, so I didn't want the same thing to happen to me this time. The truth is that I don't know how much I paid for it all, but I see that on the page where you can get tickets there is a value of €11.50 for general admission.

The gardens are located in Giverny, a small village northwest of Paris that boasts dreamy landscapes, full of rolling hills and greenery that screams life. This beauty plays permanently with the sky, which, if it is cloudy, offers an even more beautiful image.

Para ir, compré una excursión con traslado y todo. Estaba en mis primeras dos semanas de viaje y ya me había perdido en Londres yendo hacia los Estudios de Harry Potter, por lo que no quería que me pasara lo mismo en esta ocasión. La verdad es que desconozco cuánto pagué por todo ello, pero veo que en la página donde se pueden conseguir las entradad hay un valor de €11,50 para la entrada general.

Los jardines se encuentran en Giverny, un pequeño pueblo al noroeste de París que cuenta con unos paisajes de ensueños, repletos de suaves colinas y un verde que grita vida. Esta belleza juega de manera permanente con el cielo, que si está nublado, ofrece todavía una imagen más bella.

Monet's Gardens

It is indeed a small space, but it is very well organized. It has a small artificial lake that is surrounded by trees, bushes, beautiful plants and flowers that seem to be looking at you as you walk around.

Es en verdad un espacio pequeño, pero está muy bien organizado. Cuenta con un pequeño lago artificial que está rodeado de árboles, arbustos, plantas preciosas y flores que parecen estar mirándote cuando vas caminando.

There are some trails through which it is possible to follow, and the most beautiful thing I found in this place was the feeling of peace that it radiated. I imagined several times the painter doing his work while contemplating all that nature together to return to his canvas to capture what he had seen and projected in his fantastic mind.

The Gardens offer some seating, and you enter through there, so first you have to take the whole walk before you get to Monet's house.

Hay algunos senderos por los cuales es posible seguir el paso, y lo más bello que encontré en este lugar, fue la sensación de paz que irradiaba. Me imaginé varias veces al pintor haciendo su trabajo mientras contemplaba a toda esa naturaleza junta para regresar a su lienzo a plasmar lo que había visto y proyectado en su fantástica mente.

Los Jardines ofrecen algunos asientos, y se ingresa por allí, por lo que primero hay que dar todo el paseo antes de llegar a la casa de Monet.

Monet's house

Behind the gardens is the place where Monet lived and the gift store along with the restrooms, which are available to visitors.

His house was extremely small, but of course for his time 1840 - 1926 according to Wikipedia this house was a real mansion.

There are exotic decorations like a small piano (I'm not sure what instrument it is), a music stand with him in the picture and in the room, some of his paintings, but for me the most beautiful thing about that place is the contrast between the darkness of the room and the colorful green that you see outside.

Su casa era sumamente pequeña, pero claro que para su época 1840 - 1926 según Wikipedia esta casa era una verdadera mansión.

Hay decorados exóticos como un pequeño piano (no estoy segura de qué instrumento se trata), un atril con él en la imagen y en habitación, algunos de sus cuadros, pero para mí lo más hermoso de ese lugar es el contraste entre la oscuridad del salón y el verde colorido que se ve hacia afuera.

You will see narrow streets and locals in a very French style. I think that if someone does not know what "French style" looks like because he/she has never seen a facade, an ornament or anything from France, seeing these meters of house, he/she can have an excellent reference.

From the colors, the delicacy, the fineness of the designs to the staff of the locals, when you leave Monet's house, you will be able to enjoy and know much more France, just paying attention to the space surrounding this tourist spot.

Al salir de este lugar que es una especie de reliquia de Francia, pues es donde se creó mucho arte que actualmente tiene alcance internacional, podrás caminar por las callecitas de ese sector de Giverny hasta que llegues al bus (esto en caso de que hayas comprado un paquete con traslado, sino seguro que puedes conocer mucho más de esta zona).

Verás calles estrechas y locales de un estilo muy francés. Creo que si alguien no sabe cómo es el “estilo francés” porque jamás vio una fachada, un adorno o algo de Francia, viendo estos metros de casa, puede tener una excelente referencia.

Desde los colores, la delicadeza, lo fino de los diseños hasta el personal de los locales, al salir de la casa de Monet, podrás disfrutar y conocer mucho más Francia, solo prestando atención al espacio que rodea a este punto turístico.
