An Argentinean beauty: the Plaza de Congreso, beauty in Buenos Aires

Good morning friends of Pinmapple and all Hive, I hope you are having a wonderful day. This time we will visit together the Plaza de Congreso in Buenos Aires.

Located in CABA (Capital Federal), for my taste is one of the most beautiful places in Buenos Aires, and that is in the center (I'm not very fond of these crowded spaces).

The Plaza de Congreso keeps in its surroundings a certain energy that has always caught my attention, and is that every time I go to this place, the area is extremely illuminated, even on cloudy days.

The Plaza de Congreso is located on Avenida de Mayo, and curiously, along this same street, it connects with another of the most beautiful and well-known squares in the capital of Argentina: Plaza 25 de Mayo, which I have already told you about on another occasion.

Una maravilla argentina: la Plaza de Congreso, belleza en Buenos Aires

Buen día a los amigos de Pinmapple y de todo Hive, espero que estén teniendo un día maravilloso. En esta ocasión visitaremos juntos la Plaza de Congreso de Buenos Aires.

Localizada en CABA (Capital Federal), para mi gusto es una de los lugares más bellos de Buenos Aires, y eso que está en pleno centro (no soy muy amante de estos espacios tan concurridos).

La Plaza de Congreso guarda en su entorno cierta energía que siempre me ha llamado la atención, y es que cada vez que voy a este lugar, el sector está sumamente iluminado, aún en días nublados.

La Plaza de Congreso se encuentra sobre la Avenida de Mayo, y curiosamente, por esta misma calle, conecta con otra de las Plazas más bellas y conocidas de la capital de Argentina: la Plaza 25 de Mayo, de la que ya les he hablado en otra oportunidad.

This Plaza has always been characterized for being full of pigeons. I remember when I was a child playing there, and there were people who sold inflated corn that you used to buy to throw and then attract these birds. Of course most of us kids back then played there.

I saw several pigeons when I visited the square in 2015, but, this time (2023) and in 2021 the truth is that I saw almost none. It is likely that they have carried out some "cleaning" measure because of the possible plagues that may exist derived from so many pigeons, at least something similar happened in Mendoza, the city where I currently live.

Esta Plaza siempre se ha caracterizado por estar repleta de palomas. Recuerdo que cuando era niña jugaba allí, y habían personas que vendían maíz inflado que se solía comprar para lanzar y entonces atraer a estos pájaros. Por supuesto que la mayoría de los niños en aquel entonces jugábamos allí.

Vi varias palomas cuando visité la plaza en 2015, pero, esta vez (2023) y en 2021 la verdad que que no vi casi ninguna. Es probable que hayan llevado a cabo alguna medida de “limpieza” por las posibles plagas que pueden existir derivadas de tantas palomas, al menos algo similar ocurrió en Mendoza, la ciudad en la que vivo actualmente.

The truth is that with or without pigeons, the Plaza de Congreso keeps its magic. It is a fairly large space, which at one end shows us the majestic building of the Congress of the Nation, which is geographically opposite the Casa Rosada, which is located in Plaza de Mayo.

Thus, at one end we have the Legislative Power of the Argentine Nation and in front of it (with several blocks of difference), we have the Executive Power. I think it is a beautiful disposition on the part of the legal body, in addition to the fact that its surroundings are beautiful.

Lo cierto es que con o sin palomas, la Plaza de Congreso guarda su magia. Es un espacio bastante amplio, que en uno de sus extremos nos muestra el majestuoso edificio del Congreso de la Nación, que está geográficamente enfrentado a la Casa Rosada, que se encuentra en Plaza de Mayo.

De esta manera, en un extremos tenemos al Poder Legislativo de la Nación Argentina y frente a él (con varias cuadras de diferencia), tenemos al Poder Ejecutivo. Me parece una bellísima disposición de parte del cuerpo legal, sumado a que sus entornos son bellísimos.

Not only the National Congress building is extremely imposing and beautiful, but the square has slopes, green spaces, huge trees for years very well maintained and there is an excellent organization in the surrounding streets, and this is a detail that also makes you enjoy it, because although there is a lot of traffic, pedestrians can move quietly.

No solo el edificio del Congreso Nacional es sumamente imponente y bello, sino que la plaza tiene desniveles, espacios con verde, árboles enormes por los a;os muy bien cuidados y hay una excelente organización en las calles que la rodean, y este es un detalle que también la hace disfruta le, pues aunque hay mucho tránsito, el peatón puede desplazarse tranquilamente.

A curious fact is that next to the Congress, but on the sidewalk in front of it, there is a beautiful building. It seems to be part of this legal body and even gives the impression that it continues to the Plaza. However, it is an old building that used to be a bakery, you can find it as the Confitería del Molino, it is also very beautiful.

Un dato bastante curioso es que a un costado del Congreso, pero en la vereda que está frente a él, hay un edificio precioso. Pareciera ser parte de este cuerpo legal y hasta da la impresión que continúa a la Plaza. Sin embargo, se trata de un edificio antiguo que antes era una pastelería, lo puedes encontrar como la Confitería del Molino, es muy bello también.

There are tastes and tastes really, but if a tourist asks me if I recommend visiting this square, I would not hesitate for a second to say yes, because in my experience in Buenos Aires, I have not only spent pleasant moments walking around there or sitting and watching the people, but I have also managed to take beautiful pictures, which is a bonus that this place offers.

Hay gustos y gustos realmente, pero si a mí me pregunta un turista si le recomiendo visitar esta plaza, no dudaría ni un solo segundo en decirle que sí, pues en mi experiencia en Buenos Aires, no solamente he pasado gratos momentos caminando por allí o sentándome a contemplar a la gente, sino que además he logrado hacer hermosas tomas fotográficas, lo cual es un extra que ofrece este lugar.
