INGLÉS

Hello fellow travelers, I hope you have a wonderful week with your loved ones. We're already in the dry season and experiencing intense heat in the city where I live. A visit to the beach is ideal for beating the heat, relaxing, and spending time with family and friends. On Sunday, my son and I visited Tobillo Beach, located in El Peñón. Its name comes from its shallow waters, making it perfect for children and adults. The waves are gentle, the sand is white and relaxing, and there are huts and thatched shelters for storing backpacks, eating, playing chess, and more. Boat tours are also available on the beach.

We visited in the afternoon. Surprisingly, there was little sun at that time of day and a strong breeze. Before swimming, we preferred to walk along the shore, enjoying the cool breeze and watching the waves move in the wind. This beach is usually very crowded, but perhaps because of the time of day, there weren't many people. In fact, I think there were only about 20. On other occasions, we've gone later in the day and it's been packed. During our walk we strolled along the shore; the sand was warm, excellent for relaxing our feet, and the breeze was fresh and pleasant.

I like this beach because of its location and easy access. It also offers beautiful scenery and warm waters for cooling off. You can get there by public transport or private car. The buses that run to El Peñón pass right by the beach. To return, you can catch the bus at the same stop and easily get back home without having to walk far. That's one of the great advantages of this beach. Public transport is also frequent and regularly passes through this area. The important thing to remember is to leave early, as buses run until 6:30, which I consider a good time to return home after a relaxing day at the beach.

The sky was a beautiful blue with several clouds. Unlike the other times I've been there, this time the breeze was strong and noticeable in the waves. The wind's influence was also evident in the boats, which were rocked by the strong wind and waves. This time we were able to reach the cove, an area surrounded by mountains and shaped like a U. Here, too, the wind's influence was visible, especially in the palm trees that swayed to the rhythm of the breeze, making curious movements. On the way to the cove, we saw several boats out and about and children playing on the beach. At this point, I realized there weren't just a few people as I had initially thought. Near the cove, there were a large number of visitors, mostly young people and children, enjoying running and swimming.

After exploring the cove, we looked for a place to swim. The water was cool and refreshing; going to the beach was the best decision to combat the intense heat characteristic of the dry season in the country. After swimming, we got our backpacks and waited for our ride home. On our way home, we passed the monument and decided to stop there, as it's the perfect place to watch the sunset, and I've mentioned many times that this is my favorite part of the day. We stayed at the monument for about half an hour. This time, instead of walking around, we chose to sit on the benches in the amphitheater and wait for the sun to set.

The view of the sky at this hour is truly beautiful and one of my favorites. I love the colors that paint the sky as the sun gradually sets, announcing the arrival of night. Because it was getting late, we decided to walk to the bus stop to go home. Both coastal areas of the city offer beautiful landscapes for nature lovers, peaceful walks, and those who enjoy observing the seascape. I particularly enjoy these places because they are relaxing, the scenery is beautiful, the breeze is fresh, and the movement of the waves produces a pleasant sound, ideal for de-stressing. The state of Sucre, with its long coastline, has magical and wonderful places with beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, palm trees, and pleasant surroundings for enjoying with family and friends. At the bus stop, we took the bus that would take us home after a relaxing afternoon at the beach, which ended at the monument with a beautiful view of the sea and part of the Araya Peninsula.
