My visit to the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho museum and getting to know its interior space (Eng - Esp)
Hello traveler friends around the world it is a pleasure to greet you and share a beautiful and charming destination in the city of Cumaná, birthplace of the Grand Marshal Antonio José de Sucre, in honor of this outstanding hero, have been built in the city Ayacucho Park, Sucre Square and the museum Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho, last year was celebrated the bicentennial of the Battle of Ayacucho, To commemorate and honor the outstanding participation of the hero, seven flags corresponding to the countries for which Antonio José de Sucre fought were placed on the front of the building. The museum is located on Humboldt Avenue in the center of the city next to Ayacucho Park, which is part of the cultural recreational complex, which also includes a recreational area for children and a wide walkway along the banks of the Manzanares River.
On the facade of the building we see a very wide wooden door, the coat of arms of the Sucre family and a small plaque on which we read the date of creation of the museum, which was December 9, 1974, for the year 2024 in commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Ayacucho, were added as I mentioned, the flags that are located four on the left side and three on the right side.

El museo es un lindo edificio con un diseño que mezcla lo moderno y colonial, en las esquinas tiene hermosas columnas con una terminación circular, las ventanas tienen forma de arco de medio punto y rectangulares, unas son de madera, otras tienen vidrio y rejas de metal, en la parte trasera el edificio cuenta con tres puertas en forma de arco que dan acceso al jardín lateral y trasero, el jardín cuenta con varias plantas y gramas que embellecen el lugar y regularmente reciben mantenimiento, es un espacio que destaca por su limpieza y cuidado ornamental, en el lado derecho del museo se ubica el parque infantil, donde los niños tienen garantizada su diversión, además de los tradicionales juegos como; columpios, tobogán, sube y baja e inflables los niños también pueden disfrutar de sus paseos en carritos, estos carros se alquilan y durante varios minutos el niño hace un recorrido por el parque.

En la entrada del museo se ubica un busto de Antonio José de Sucre este reposa en una base de madera y la escultura es de bronce también se pueden ver los hermosos arcos que tiene el museo estos descansan en una columna con un alto relieve en la mitad, el techo es de madera y cuenta también con un tragaluz que coincide con el jardín que está en la parte de abajo, el museo tiene dos pisos, en el primer piso se ubican la escultura de Sucre, el jardín una fuente, una campana de data de la época colonial y varias fotografías de la Cumaná, antigua tiene varios pasillos donde se realizan exhibiciones de obras de arte de destacados artistas regionales, también cuenta hacia el lado izquierdo con una gran biblioteca que recibe el nombre de Antonio José de Sucre, en ella consigues libros, documentos biografía y referencias del prócer.

The first room is called Sucre, the door is made of wood in the shape of an arch, it has in front a picture of the Marshal, an ornamental plant, you can also see the lamps on the ceiling; in this room you will find a collection of letters written by the Marshal, coins of the time, personal accessories of the Sucre family; necklaces, rings, mirrors, among others and some gifts given by Antonio José de Sucre to his wife, kept in glass chests with wooden frames, the walls are white and the space has excellent lighting.
Avanzando hacia el piso superior vemos las escaleras con sus hermosas barandas de madera, estas tienen un diseño muy particular que combina con los chaguaramos que adornan el centro del segundo nivel, los escalones están forrados con una alfombra vino tinto en lo personal, me encanta este color de alfombra, ya que, le da un estilo muy elegante al museo, mientras subes las escaleras la hermosa vista y se aprecian varios cuadros de cuadros de la vida de Sucre, su boda, cuando era joven, el ascenso a general y otros momentos importantes de su vida, para acceder al piso superior debes ir acompañado de un guía, quién te va explicando durante el recorrido todos los elementos que integran cada área, al pasar las escaleras encontramos un espacio abierto con pasillos a ambos lados y en ellos se ubican dos salones.
El primer salón se llama Sucre, la puerta es de madera con forma de arco, tiene al frente una foto del Mariscal, una planta ornamental, se observan también las lámparas en el techo; en este salón encuentras una colección de cartas, escritas por el Mariscal, monedas de la época, accesorios personales de la familia Sucre; collares anillos, espejos, entre otros y algunos obsequios dados por Antonio José de Sucre a su esposa, resguardados en cofres de vidrio con marcos de madera, las paredes son blancas y el espacio cuenta con excelente iluminación.

Visiting the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho museum is a very enriching experience, besides knowing part of the life of this famous character, you have the opportunity to see a great architectural work, the columns and arches have a great design, both inside and outside, the building in general is very nice and is kept very clean, those in charge of the museum do a great job to keep organized and clean this space, once you finish the tour you sign the guest book.
Al otro lado se ubica el salón Ayacucho, antes de entrar al salón, en el pasillo posterior central se encuentra un cofre de madera que contiene una réplica de la espada de Antonio José de Sucre, ya en el salón vemos varios cofres de vidrio, en ellos se encuentra una réplica de la espada de Simón Bolívar, armas y herramientas de la época, envases que contienen tierra de los lugares donde se desarrollaron algunas batallas donde tuvo participación Sucre, se observan también varios cuadros de diferentes batallas; la Batalla de Junín y Pichincha, en las cuales participó Antonio José de Sucre, en las esquinas se encuentran varios maniquí con vestimenta la militar de los próceres, al salir del salón encontramos tres esculturas de destacados próceres de Venezuela y otros países que lucharon activamente en el proceso de emancipación, vemos también las columnas en la parte superior que son pequeños chaguaramos elaborados de concreto y pintados en color amarillo claro.
Visitar el museo Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho, es una experiencia muy enriquecedora, además de conocer parte de la vida de este insigne personaje, tienes la oportunidad de contemplar una gran obra arquitectónica, las columnas y arcos tienen un gran diseño, tanto en el interior como la parte externa, el edificio en general es muy bonito y se mantiene muy limpio, los encargados del museo realizan un gran trabajo al mantener organizado y limpio este espacio, una vez que terminas el recorrido firmas el libro de visitas.
