Sunset trail by the sea 📷 Malaga – Spain

Sometimes I think that there are so many roads and trails to travel that it would take too many lifetimes to see all the wonders of this world, of our earth and what nature offers us, which is everything.

I usually visit natural places when the sun is shining, especially at midday, and even more so now that the days are shorter. The reason is because I like to have picnics in nature and see it in broad daylight, and because I think the photographs are much more beautiful, as they show every detail of what I see. Imagine that I capture everything I see with my phone, so you see what my eyes see on each trip; I try to capture everything.

On this occasion, I took a walk along a path that I had previously walked part of in broad daylight, when the sun was high in the sky. This time, I wanted to walk the entire length of it, and it was already late afternoon, even before the time change, so it was still quite warm and there were several flowers here and there.

It is an area far from the city centre, facing east, between Peñón del Cuervo beach and El Dedo beach, where there is a very long route of more than half an hour on foot and there are different paths at different heights. On one occasion, I walked the middle path, which I could now see from below in the distance, but this time I was on the one closest to the sea.

20251023_191816.jpg

This gave me a totally different perspective of the landscape, and so I began my walk as the sun began to set. Although this trail can be covered in half an hour, I took it much more slowly, stopping several times to take photographs of the different stages of the sun setting lower and lower, casting different colours and light patterns across the sky.

On one side, I could see the palm trees already turning black because the sun was in front of me, but quite low, and if I looked back, the sun illuminated both the vegetation and the rocks on other more distant paths with an intense yellow light. The palm trees and pine trees all seemed darker in the distance as the sun settled on the earth and then disappeared.

20251023_192412.jpg

To my right, the landscape varied between rock formations and plants of the most varied species, but very resistant to this type of sandy and rocky soil. On some paths and stairs, I could also see flowers, beautiful pink and white flowers. I knew that when I reached the end of my journey, night would have fallen, and I wanted to experience that walk by the sea.

20251023_192503.jpg

The sun was hiding behind the bends in the road, and when I looked at the sea, it seemed very dark next to the rocks, but I could still see the foam caressing the beach, the coast.

When I looked, I expected to see a boat in the distance, but that day the sea was calm and there were no boats. To my right, I could still see some colour in the vegetation, distinguishing shades of green, yellow and brown in the rocky areas.

Every so often, I would lean over the railing that ran along the entire path to look at the rocks and the small waves crashing against them, then continue on my way, looking at the horizon and watching the sun sink lower and lower. From time to time, I looked back, as I always do on my walks. I like to see how the landscape changes with every step.

The horizon took on many shades of blue, orange and yellow before reaching the sky, when looking ahead, but when looking back, the sky took on a pink hue that, mixed with the blue, often allowed me to see purple colours. The views were beautiful wherever I looked.

As I progressed along the path, the colours changed and with them the landscapes and the way I saw them. The water became increasingly blue and very serene, with a slight murmur as it reached the rocks, a relaxing and beautiful sound. There were a few people walking along the path, and I think they were enjoying the same experience as me.

It is a path far from buildings, the city, the hustle and bustle, and cars, where one can be in contact with the fresh air, the sea, the breeze, and the incredible views when the sun sets behind the mountains surrounding the city.

The rocks were getting bigger on my right and the sun was still shining on the upper part. When I looked back, I could see the beautiful earthy colours, but when I looked ahead, it was getting darker and darker.

The yacht club in that area looked like a mirage of boats with the sun almost disappearing.

I was approaching the beach called El Dedo, and the sun was almost completely hidden. The city could be seen in the distance with its beautiful lights. The landscape with the palm trees already completely black and in the distance a night-time rainbow was forming.

It was a magical journey that I enjoyed very much, a wonderful evening stroll contemplating and exploring not only places but also different views where everything changes depending on the light and shadows.

Thank you very much for joining me today. Best regards. See you soon.
Amonet.

La gente cree que Málaga es el centro histórico nada más y es enorme! Creo que eso pasa con todas las ciudades, para recorrer cada una hace falta tiempo.

Muy buen semana Ramón!🤗

People in shorts? 😱 Tomorrow morning it's going to be 2C here 😆

Anyway, the place is beautiful, without any doubt and perfect for taking photos. I'm not sure about the temperature 😉

Thank you so much for showing us this part of Malaga, which is as tropical as some places on my beautiful island.
Each of your posts recreates images and takes me on a journey through the place you show without me having to move from where I am.

I love all the images. However, the sunset on the beach stole my heart.
Thank you for sharing. Have a great day. Cheers and best regards.

The same thing happens to me with many places in the world as if I could be there without travelling. Thank you very much always!

Let me tell you something... something you already know, because you live it.
Fulfilment is being here, seeing what you’ve seen and brought to us so we can share in it.
That… that is what matters. The rest is just decoration.
You have that phone that brings us closer to you, it’s like a bridge that lets us reach you. But what you show us is whole, it’s true, and that’s why we all care for you so deeply.

Te dejo un gran abrazo.

Thank you for these words, I believe that everything I do and say here speaks of who I am, of myself and my inner self. Words speak of people, as do their attitudes. Thank you!

Such a wonderful seaside 😍 I hope someday I can visit Malaga, Spain. The sunset is gorgeous and the yacht club is amazing. Is there a yacht for tourist island-hopping?

Of course there are boats for tourists and there is transport between the different islands, thank you very much!
