New exploration – El Limonar – Architecture and style 📷 Malaga – Spain
In this city, which grows larger as I explore it, I always say that I find places that are so varied from one another that they even seem like a separate city, a different city, when in fact they are simply neighbourhoods within the same city.

Everyone knows that one of my best friends in my explorations and travels is the map, Google Maps. I consult it whenever I want to discover new places, whether it's a neighbourhood, a natural place such as a forest park, gardens, beaches or historical sites.
On this occasion, I bring you a place within the city of Malaga that I once visited but did not explore completely, and this time I wanted to explore it on foot and in its entirety. It is a neighbourhood that is not very large, within the eastern part of the city, but it has features that I have not seen anywhere else in the city.
To do this, I took two buses and, as the northern part of the city is very high, I wanted the bus to drop me off as high up as possible so that, let's say, I wouldn't have to climb the city, but could enjoy exploring and walking.

This neighbourhood is called El Limonar and extends vertically within the eastern part of the city, but from north to south, with one main street, two parallel streets and then several that cross them, going down towards the south. Being in the highest area, I began my tour, and immediately noticed the difference with the rest of the city, both in the type of buildings, the architecture and, above all, the fact that the whole neighbourhood had so many trees.
Above all, there is a tree that I know as a cotton tree, which attracts many birds, so throughout my walk I was accompanied by the chirping of birds, especially on the main street called Paseo del Limonar.

Another characteristic of this neighbourhood is the large number of villas, i.e. large plots of land with a huge house in the centre, usually two storeys high, with a huge garden surrounding the house and enclosed by a perimeter fence. These houses are very beautiful in architectural style, with excellent design and style. There are also some buildings, but they are not common in this area.

It has its own health centre, also on a large plot of land with a large garden, and almost all the buildings or houses have security systems. Although it is not very large, the neighbourhood has two schools and a nursery, all of which are large.

There is also a cultural centre on one corner, whose building was constructed in 1921 by owners and residents of the same neighbourhood and surrounding neighbourhoods and was donated to the city council as a barracks for the civil guard. Now its main function is to promote culture. It is located on one of the streets parallel to the main street, called República Argentina. This made me a little emotional, that a street has the name of the country where I was born.

As I mentioned, the most beautiful thing about the neighbourhood, at least in my opinion, is that there are not so many buildings, but rather houses, gardens, vegetation and, above all, trees, which make you feel as if you were in a natural space and not in the city. But above all, there is a lot of tranquillity, people walking calmly through the streets, little traffic, extreme cleanliness, only the autumn leaves from the trees that are falling at this time of year are present on the ground.

It differs in many ways from the rest of the city, in terms of the types and styles of buildings and everything mentioned above. There are also small streets in the middle of the neighbourhood, dead-end streets where I found real mansions.

Although I couldn't get to that place because it's a private area, I have to mention that, in that neighbourhood, practically where it ends and borders another, is the Miramar Palace, where weddings are held with surprising luxury and style. I've only seen photographs of it on the internet, and it's amazing.

The entire eastern part of the city is the most expensive, where the best and most beautiful homes are located, but this neighbourhood in particular stands out the most. In summer, with the intense heat, it is very pleasant to walk under the shade of the trees, making it an ideal neighbourhood because of the coolness of the atmosphere. And now in autumn, the streets are dressed in beautiful autumn colours.

It also has a parish church, the Church of San Miguel de Miramar, which was closed at the time. It is simple on the outside but very beautiful.

When I walked through the smaller streets, I felt like I was in a remote, quiet village very close to forests and nature reserves. In fact, further up, to the north and a little further east, there is a forest park that I hope to visit very soon.
The afternoon was drawing to a close and with it the sun was sinking lower and lower. Now the days are shorter, and as I set off on my way back, I could see many more villages with trees and flowers on their exterior walls, as well as quiet, solitary paths. Peace reigns in this place; there is no hustle and bustle, no noise, no tourism, but it is ideal for walking.
Thank you very much for joining me today. Best regards. See you soon.

How I love those places! They're so relaxing and clean. 😍
Yes!!! Thank you!!🤗
Good morning @avdesing. Interesting walk because it is not new. I could be wrong, but the mansions surrounded by gardens and walls and the cleanliness of the streets remind me of some of the neighborhoods where rich people live in Madrid. So I understand that you are showing us one of the neighborhoods where the richest people in Malaga live (so it seems to me).
On the other hand, our roots always haunt us... I was not surprised that you were excited when you saw República Argentina Street.
Thanks for this walk.
A very big hug.
That's right, it's a neighbourhood where the wealthiest people live, architects, lawyers, etc., etc., haha.
As for the tree-lined surroundings, it resembles what my hometown used to be like years ago. I felt nostalgic during the walk.
Thank you!🤗
For me it is a very interesting publication, it gives me a more complete vision of Malaga.
And nostalgia... is something inevitable.
A very big hug. Thank you.
I haven't brought neighbourhoods here yet, only tourist spots, but I'll get to them. When I worked in sales, I got to know a lot, and I mean a lot!
In sales, you're bound to know a lot of different neighborhoods. I worked as a messenger for three years, so I imagine it's like that.
I think I'd really appreciate it if you shared the neighborhoods you know here.
Except for the dangerous ones, I know them all, ha ha ha.
If it's more or less the same, you get to know a lot of people and places.
Don't go to dangerous neighborhoods... We only want what's best for you.
I'm sure I'll really enjoy getting to know the neighborhoods you'll show us. It will be a different side of Malaga, and I think it will be very interesting.
Palma y palmilla... no iré jajaja hay balas perdidas de gitanos....
Si que es una Málaga muy distinta, cada barrio es un mundo distinto. A comer!! Chaooo
Lo mismo me toca por aquí 😃..Chao!!

Thank you so so much @worldmappin and @ybanezkim26! Thank you!😃😃😃
People seem to have been abducted or are just too busy, barely finding time to walk… or maybe it’s siesta hour. Either way, I prefer it hahaha… what a marvel, my goodness… silence. Beauty, cleanliness!
Sunday at 3 p.m... there's no one around! That's how I like it, peace and quiet! Now I have to go for my walks before 5 p.m. because otherwise the sun goes down and it's not good for taking photos.🤣
Thank you!🤗

Such magnificent neighborhoods with unique architectural designs.
That neighbourhood is beautiful... the gardens are a little paradise!
Malaga is so beautiful and filled of nature in my viewpoint. You took us with you on your journey of great arhitectures, roads, and gardens in that destination and I enjoyed it.
While reading, I cannot help myself but to be astonished of the road in that neighbourhood. I mean, look how calm, peaceful, and clean these roads are. I guess you were the only one strolling around. And the fact that it has nature embedded on the sorrounding made it more interesting to walk along the paths even if you are not familiar on the place.
Among the buildings I saw, I love this hall the most. It is in great architecture and shape, which makes it look perfect. Looking at how it stands make it majestic to visit.
And oh, that one private area must be worthy to enter. But it is just private unfortunately. Miramar Palace must be a good addition to your shown photos but overall I love this narration. Thank you for sharing this to us @avdesing❤️
Thank you very much for reading the entire post and admiring the beauty of the architecture. It really is a beautiful place. There were few people walking around, so I chose specific times so that people would not appear in the photographs and the landscape could be appreciated. Thank you!🤗
It's a wonderful place, but it must be very expensive to live there. Undoubtedly, the architecture is what attracts the most attention; each of the buildings has its own unique character.
It's true, it's the most expensive place, although being far from the centre perhaps it's not so much, but it's beautiful. Thank you very much!😃
Bellas campiñas imágenes. Me han gustado mucho!
Muchísimas gracias!! 🤗
I would love to take a walk in this kind of neighborhood. It feels relaxing with trees on the pathways.😊 Thanks for sharing beautiful pictures of the place.
Thank you so much!!🤗
Gracias!
