Qaitbay Citadel - Alexandria, Egypt
This is Qaitbay Citadel, one of the most touristic places in Alexandria. Was how we used to protect Alexandria against enemies because it's always easier to invade a land from the sea.
Because they had some renovations going on we couldn't enter the citadel itself and take photos from inside however it's still a beautiful place
There is also many great places nearby like the aquarium Museum and many other touristic places but will post the photos of in a separate post
The government has done significant efforts to make this place a better place and they did some renovations to make it more of a touristic place and make entertaining activities here so it's much better than it was a couple of years ago
It feels good to be a tourist in your own city and even though it's not the first time for me to visit this place I felt extreme joy being here today

Oh, I am sure of that. I have always been curious about ancient cultures, and am especially fascinated by the pyramids. I think it would be really cool to take a boat down the Nile as well. Hopefully soon!
Hopefully! Also, there's a lot of other cities that you'll enjoy apart from the capital (cairo) like Siwa Oasis, Sinai, Fayoum, and many other beautiful places. My favorite places here would always and forever be: Dahab, North Sinai.

Yes, that's exactly what I thought about when I went there, that it wasn't just a beautiful place it was a place of war and protection to the whole country which has been invaded many times through the sea. Glad you like it ♥️♥️
