B&W Autumn Symbols

In Toronto, as across Canada and in many countries in the Northern Hemisphere, we find ourselves enjoying autumn 2023.

Yellow and orange colours predominate. Petricor is characteristic, but for now we can't post smells and tastes, heh, heh, heh.

The water is crystal clear, its reflections are real and accurate to the original, but the temperature is too hot to take a dip, at around 49 °F (ca. 9 degree Celsius) during the day…

From the celebration of Halloween, only the pumpkins that were not used remain, but we will use them to make typical delicacies -muffins, cakes or pies, biscuits, and the famous compote…-.

We are on the eve of winter, and these environments will be dressed in white. Standing water will freeze on their surface, which will be used by fanatic skaters. The riverbanks will be the scene of skiing and we will cut down some trees that will be used to bring the Christmas scent into many homes.

If possible, I will take these same photos when winter permits, and you can enjoy, as I do, the majesty of nature in its four seasons.

Thank you for making it this far, I hope you enjoyed the images as much as I did. Unfortunately, an image is not the same as living it, one stands still looking through the viewfinder of the camera because what is detailed in colour, with the smell and sounds of nature is indescribable if you have not lived it.

Beautiful, you feel a tranquillity, an inner peace. Thank you for the delicacy in the description, it certainly makes me dream, and I literally feel the scents and see the tones.

I love the photos you shared but I wonder why you say the water is too hot to get in. I mean 9°C is cold, only a bit warmer than my fridge.

I certainly meant too cold to take a dip. Thanks for the observation, a slip of the tongue between English, French and Spanish.

Thanks for the update. Before I take a dip the temp needs to be high, way higher. 🍀💕
