Time to play with my macro rail
Last month i purchased a macrorail from my tax return money :) , but i didn't really have the time yet to play with it .

Today i have been using it in combination with my remote flash trigger and the godox TT685s flash unit , making it a lot easier to aim your light where you want it .
Although still with a lot of trial and error but there is no need to post black pictures so i 'll stick to the ones that turned out ok .
It was 6:30 in the morning sun not at it's full power and most flowers still closed. I was hoping the wind wouldn't be to much of a problem besides the temperture of 13 degrees Celcius .
But when you sit still outside on a balcony the wind does feel colder, and the subjects do move a lot when you use 5x magnification .
1 ) But we managed to get some nice shots of the flowers from the Erodium 'Bisschops Form' , this one is taken with 5x magnification

2 ) The flower is only +/- 1 cm in diameter, and they flower from May until September. Look @friendlymoose a closer look to the flowers.

3 ) Here you see the flower at 2.5 magnification

4 ) This flower is in a differend stage then the first one, here you can still see the pollen, while they are no longer there in the first flower.

5 )flower of the Delosperma , still waiting for the sun before it will open up.

6 ) Yesterday i posted the raindrops on the Osteospermum ecklonis , here is the center of that flower at 2.5 magnification.

Whilst you were waiting for the sun to come out and the flowers to bloom, you also took some excellent macro photographs, revealing those inner details that often go unnoticed to the naked eye. How wonderful to see a flower that still has its pollen. You also had the patience to ensure the wind didn’t get in the way.
It’ll be great to see more and more photos with your new purchase, money well spent, well done!! Lovely work, thank you very much and a big hug!🤗

thank you , for the kind words , It's the tools that make it easier to do things like this , and i can make the photos less convulsive that way my back and legss last a bit longer .
You should always enjoy the process; it’s so much better that way. That’s what makes taking photos such a joy. Thank you to you.
Well those are some real macro shots. Especially the first one... you can see the 'hairs' inside the flower 👍🏻
yes at 5x amgnification you can make things like that visible for the naked eye

Working through trial and error always pays off when you have the sensitivity you project in your photographs. Bravo!
it doesn indeed , but it also cost a lot of energy to stay focus .
