I've continued to invest time in digitally transforming some of my recent abstract photographs, most of which were taken on the metal posts supporting the fences of a more or less abandoned sports complex in my town. The photographs I'm sharing with you today, along with their "evolutions" or "sequels," as I like to call them, are part of a series of photographs taken around the same time as those in this previous post (CLICK HERE). But this time, I allowed myself some additional creative license and, let's say, "went a little further" with the transformations, to the point where some of the digitally altered images are quite different from the visual concept of the originals. But today I felt like doing just that: creating even further than what I'd seen and letting myself be guided by what I intuited in each original photo...

He seguido invirtiendo ciertas cantidades de tiempo en transformar digitalmente algunas de mis recientes fotografías abstractas, hechas la mayoría de ellas sobre la superficie de postes metálicos que sostienen las rejas de un complejo deportivo más o menos abandonado en mi pueblo. Las fotografías que estoy compartiendo hoy con ustedes, junto con sus "evoluciones" o "secuelas", como me gusta llamarlas, forman parte de un conjunto de fotografías hechas en la misma fecha que las de esta publicación anterior (CLICK AQUÍ); pero esta vez me permití cierta licencia creativa adicional y, digamos que, "fui un poco más allá" en las transformaciones, llegando al punto en el que algunas de las imágenes alteradas digitalmente distan bastante del concepto visual de las originales. Pero hoy sentí ganas de eso: de crear más lejos aún de lo visto y dejarme llevar por lo intuido en cada foto original...

As you can see, the original photos are on the left of each diptych, and the transformed ones are on the right. As always, I used various transformation tools without a specific method. I simply use what seems necessary to make each photo look like what it evokes in my mind when I look at it. I use liquify brushes, swirls, oil texture, polar coordinates, image segmentation and overlay, radial and zoom distortions, inversions, and things like that... And today, as always, I've also brought you the transformed photos in monochrome for you to enjoy below...

Como pueden ver, las fotos originales están a la izquierda de cada díptico y las transformadas a la derecha. Como siempre, usé diversas herramientas de transformación sin tener un método específico. Simplemente uso lo que me parece necesario para ligar hacer ver cada foto como lo que esta trae a mi cabeza al mirarla. Uso brochas de licuado, remolinos, texturización de oleo, coordenada polares, segmentación y superposición de imagen, distorsiones radiales y de zoom, inversiones y cosas así... Y hoy como siempre, también les traje las fotos transformadas en monocromático para que las disfruten a continuación...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
