Wednesday Walk Some of my favorite spots to walk
Some of my favorite spots to walk
This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)
Good Morning, and I hope your week is going well
I still have not been out for photo walks yet. We have had a couple of warmer days where I would have bene tempted to head out for a walk if not for the fact that it was raining, but I hope this warming trend continues and I am soon out for my photo walks nd getting new photos to edit and share,
That said I am still getting in my steps in most days walking back and forth in our sunroom, and averaging over 10k steps a day, but I must admit that is getting boring, I have an exercise bike which arrived a few days ago so adding that to my morning routine, for now starting with 30 Minutes walking and then 10 or so minutes riding, then another 10 MInutes or so of walkign to cool down
as my legs and knees get used to to I will increase the riding time, which will of course lower my walking step count for the day but thats OK as long as I burn a good amount of calories with activity each morning
These shots are all from last year but ones I had not edited or shared of some of my favorite spots for morning walks
Starting with this one parked by the harbor walk and looking out over the pier

this next shot covers one spot I park but a couple of spots I walk, parking at the port and either walking around the port, or crossing the road and strolling through the historic district

And perhaps the spot i visit the most, Fort Tabor park, where i can walk on the beach, around the fort and park, or out of the park to East Beach

and speaking of East Beach here it is

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.
This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines
Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.
Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.
Try and get a few shots not just one
Add a bit of a write up about where you walked
Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week
You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.
Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss
Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .
Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.
I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules
I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.
I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

How are you, my dear friend @tattoodjay?
It's great that the temperature has risen, it's a shame the rain prevented you from your hike.
You have some really great places to go hiking; I love the architecture of those beautiful buildings.
Excellent shots!
Thanks, it was a breif tease by mother nature, now its veven colder we had 4 inches of snow the other day and this weekend may get another 8 inches or so
Have a great day
Yes, it gets boring always walking in place without going out, but the number of steps is fine and the bike will help you a lot, you will progress little by little. Regarding the walk, what beautiful pictures, I prefer the sky in the last one for its variety of colours, I'm always amazed by your pictures! Thank you for this walk!
Thanks I am enjoying the variety riding the bike and my legs are getting used to it, Today I did about 6K steps walking and 15 MInutes riding, slowly building up the riding as my legs get used to it
Have a great day
Little by little everything will get better! That's the way to do it! Beautiful day!
I can see why those are your favourite walks but if that's in the morning that is way way way too early XD
LOL what can I say I am an early riser, I have bene getting up by 4Am since i was 14 so for over 50 years now
Have a great day
Hopefully, the weather will improve, and you will be able to take some new photos to add to your collection! In the meantime, there's nothing wrong with checking out some old ones and remembering great walks in the sunset, or during the night... I have no skills for taking night photos, and probably because of that, I like to check out how others are doing them... And your street photograph from this collection looks surreal! Almost like a rendered 3d image! 😍

Thanks, yes winter is taking hold again right now very cool and more snow coming this weekend but soon it will be spring ;)
Have a great day
Good day, Mr. @tattoodjay
It's great that even though you're not leaving the house, you can still do your daily walks indoors. That's fantastic!
What beautiful photographs!
Thanks kindly your support is appreciated
Have a great day
Step by step, the important thing is that you are managing to walk every day. Even if it is boring to walk in the same place, the important thing is not to stop. The blue in the photos makes us think about how beautiful nature and life are.

I'm glad these are some older photos you are sharing. It's much too cold to be out walking right now. They are calling for temps around -25 come the weekend. Guess it's going to be one of the harder winters this year!
Brrr -25, Yesterday we had real fele of -2 and thats far to cold for me, and more snow coming our way there saying sunday we may get over 8 inches, but that could all change
I've heard that there are some massive storms moving through. I just saw a graphic and they are calling for -54 in one of the northern most cities near Lake Superior tomorrow.
WOW how do people cope in that
I guess I shouldnt complain, I think at worse with Wind Chill were only going as low as -15 and only maybe a foot of snow, plus with no deed to go out I will be warm indoors
Stay safe my friend
Thank you! We are lucky that it is only occasionally that we get like this. The west side of the state gets far more snow that us coming off Lake Michigan.
Stay safe and warm, the chill is upon us now not as bad as you get, but enough for me to want to talk my wife to skip getting her hair done today and to stay insiude and warm
Even the gas heater we have in the sunroom is struggling to keep it warm mainly sue to al the windows, its running pretty much full time and the temp is dropping, was 66 when I started my steps this morning and an hour later had dropped to 64
Have a great day
Yikes, you are supposed to end up getting snow too right? That seems to be heading south of us, so I think we might get lucky.
indeed starting about 10Am today forecasts are bouncing all over, but rangefrom 6 to 15 Inches, lets see what we get, luckily I hve all we need so no need to go out, and have a guy booked to come and clear the snow, so I can relax and enjoy watching it out the window
Sounds like you are more than ready. That's smart planning! That's also an insane amount of snow in one stretch for anyone!
I if left to myself to decide would probably try and shovel it out myself, but my wife after my surgeries is all against that and she is probably right especially in this case, I think we got over 8 inches but less than a foot, but hard to tell just looking out the window while it is still dark
Have a great day
8 inches is no joke. Especially if it is the wet heavy stuff. If it is the light stuff and just a dusting like 2 inches or less I will use the shovel, but anything more than that, I typically start up the snow blower.
Our guy we use came about 9 Am and cleared the snow for us with his snow blower, and looks closer to a foot, unfortunatly with him coming early and them still plowing the roads, i had a load about a foot or more high blocking the driveway to the road, so cleared that late yesterday afternoon, and by then it had iced up and was real heavy, my wife wasnt keen on me doing it, but I managed OK and didnt aggrivated the hernia surgery part :)
You should have called someone my friend. That stuff that piles up after the plow is no joke. It's almost worse than the other stuff because it is so dense and heavy.
Yeah Probably i should have, but I thouht it wasnt that much and felt fine doing it
Not sure if its related but yesterday I started having stomach cramps and today its even worse, Hopefully it will pass, I hope I havent got another bowel blockage
I hope so as well. I know my friend has still been dealing with issues in his digestive tract too. He has low blood flow, so it causes a lot of problems. It's scary how the cold can impact you. It's always safest to be careful. Especially in the cold!
Yeah thats true, I did some looking up yesterday and apparently to get a small bowel obstruction is common like about 30% after having a colon removal surgery, this is maybe the third time , but at least this time I know how it feels when I start so switch to dsoft/liquid diet for a couple of days and it stops it from gettign worse and clears it up, its feeling a bit better today although I am craving solid food lOL
and our coldest day is coming on Friday a high of 15, plan to stay indoors that day and keep warm
We are supposed to get cold again on Friday too. It's possible we might have school off again. I'm glad you know what to look for now. I hope it clears up well without any medical intervention required. Take it easy!
Stay warm and safe my friend, and I think Winter has doen well this year time for it to pack up and let spring come early :)
Haha yeah, I kind of feel the same. I have some traveling to do in the coming months and I really hope the weather doesn't impact it. Watch out for that bomb cyclone they are calling for this weekend! Stay safe!
I was just checkign the weather, fortunately unless it does a shift today we should get to much maybe 2 inches of snow and windy, mind you two inches on top of whats already onthe ground will make a mess
lets hope the weather doesnt impact your travels
Oh, that's good. I think the coast south of you is going to get hammered.
it wiggles a little and I may be lucky and get none at all ;)
Walking with your favorite spots sounds like a beautiful way to spend and relax......this calming spots made us pause and breathe...
