Wednesday Walk A few shots from recent walks around the area

A few shots from recent walks around the area

This post is for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge? Read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

Good Morning
A few shots from recent walks, well, with the note, recent as in when I am preparing the post, so about a week ago, as you read it.

I have been making the most of the nice weather of recent, well, not so much the heat wave, but then again it's not too bad even then, except for a couple of mornings around the time I go out.

Well, that was the case until the accident the other day. My back was bothering me for a couple of days; even picking up my camera bag was a challenge, but that's eased off, and I feel good now. Yesterday, today and possibly the next couple of days, the heat has gone, but the rain is back in full force. I can get a couple of mornings to get out for walks again :)

So I looked through recent walks and decided to go with shots from a few walks rather than focus just on one walk.

Starting with this photo, I park sometimes at the other end of the harbor walk, and walk past this spot before walking out by Palmers Island and over the harbor walk.

This view has changed the Wind Turbine manufacturing site has closed, and now it's used mainly by the Seastreak Ferry for overflow berthing of their boats

One Morning, I took a walk to find the House where Herman Melville lived. He wrote the book Moby Dick, which has ties to New Bedford. I found it and am not so happy with the photos I got of it, so I will try again, but I did come across this house on Madison Street that caught my eye, you know I do love the blues

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Hello, dear friend @tattoodjay.

What a beautiful Wednesday walk! I loved the shots you took. I love houses like that; the colors of that property are so striking.

Have a great day.

We have the Canadian wildfire smoke moving in again this year, so things are pretty horrible here. There is a haze all over the horizon and you can smell the burning wood smell everywhere.

Its been bad here the last couple of days, the sky having real funky surreal colors, and your even closer so I dread to imagine what it is like there

Yeah, the sky is basically yellow right now. I think it's the smell more than anything that gets me. It's like a constant campfire which you would think is awesome, but not so much!

I’m so glad your back pain has eased and that, even on rainy days, you’re able to go out for walks again. This walk is lovely, I loved the first photo, and that path through the park, so full of greenery… I love it! Have a lovely day!🤗

I wish you complete well-being and good health; by the way, I love the tones in the photos you’ve taken. Excellent work. I’d also like to take this opportunity to share my own contribution to your initiative, which has really encouraged me to go for short walks and appreciate the good things in life around me, as well as my loved ones. Thank you so much!
