A small walk while waiting for the wife
Good morning ,
While the wife was doing something at work i decided to take the camera and walk arround the area a bit to see if there was something for sharing.
I brought my Sony A7II + Minolta MC Tele Rokkor 135mm 2.8 and in the bag i also had the Minolta MD Rokkor 50mm 1.7 and the Minolta MC W.Rokkor-SG 28mm 3.5, i just love the old manual focus lenses.
The first flower i came across was this poppy
Physocarpus. 'Diabolo' was flowering and looked very nice

I wasn't able to take pictures of the area without including patients of the place and out of respect for those people i decided to focus on other things instead.
There was a pond in the middle of this garden with a bridge and something that was making a lot of noise, can you spot it ?
Here let me help you max cropped this is the best i could do with the 135mm lens , will try again later this week with the Sigma 150-500mm lens .
i have no idea what kind of frog it is but it didn't trust me ...
and jumped away
and before i knew it , it was dissapered between the flowering water lillies
as i moved along the path i spotted this tree trunk coverd with mushrooms
No kids arround to play today even though the weather is great, they are probably still at school.
The grass definitly needs some rain , it has been dry for a long time now.
on the other side of the road i spotted this flowering tea rose.
A little further there was this dark beauty flowering
Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple' smoke tree in dutch they call it "Pruikenboom" if you would translate that to English it would say Wigs tree.

Then i walked past this house with a beautiful front garden filled with
Persicaria bistorta or Polygonum bistorta the Dutch name is Adderwortel and the English call it Snakeroot .

i had to cross the street again to be able to get a wider shot with 135mm lens
then i spotted this flowering Rhodondendron on the other side of a hedge.
Luckely i had the 135mm lens still on the camera to capture this.
and sometimes you need to look up instead of forward to spot nice things
The sunlight shinning on these Horse chestnut leaves.
Moving forward again towards the car i saw this tinny house,
Manny people on the bike today with the nice weather
time to get out of the sun and in to the shade taken with mobile phone ;)
And this big old horse chestnut tree has plenty of shade
Back to the camera
and if you look up you see all kind of things , even a little bit of blue sky .
Time to change the lens to the 28mm one
that is part of the road i walked past
another lens Switch this time we go for the 50 mm
Looking upwards one more time
And then the sun was hiding behind the clouds and temperature was dropping fast , went back to the car waited on the wife to get ready to go home again.
The cat was happy the we were home again so that she could enjoy the sun again on the balcony.

Everything has been pleasing to me, even that wary frog 😅 The poppy, daisies and mushrooms were my favorites, but seeing a cat at the end I understand it's the best post on Hive I've visited today. That is a lively, beautiful walk you had. Nothing beats the aesthetic wonder of nature. Full of greens and colorful, pretty flowers. The beautiful sky is a positive reminder, and your mew mew cat happily walked. The clear picture of the pond with a frog on a lily pad that seems to be wondering why someone is staring at him or her. You both wonder how life must have been living in the pond, and you, a giant living on land. I miss the pond at the back of my grandmother's house where we used to play a lot. hehe

Beautiful photos! Such an awesome walk. That frog (or toad?) looks scary when it looked at you. I almost felt like it would jump on your face in a few seconds. 🤣 Hopefully when you come back next time with the longer lens it would still be there. :D
I hope the frog will be there indeed , when i return with the bigger lens later this week .

Such beautiful shots, I spotted the frog inthe first shot
I have bene wanting to get out for some more spring shots but its bene crazy windy here last few days, and seems to get even worse next couple of days, but hopefully after that I will get out

Those are awesome photo! Would love to see the frog up close honestly 😆 sony camera never failed to capture the beauty of nature, the result is so crips. It's why now I am kind of conflicted to upgrade between fuji or sony.
well if you can go to the store and try how both systems feel in your hands, it will be easier to decide it's like buying a good pen if it doesn't feel natural in your hands you never will use it with joy .
