Mountain air and playground flair.
It is ao strange that you will find an oppurtunity to explore the beauty world. I happen to get a chance to visot Solan in Himachal Pradesh. Last few days I was too occupied careying out the task to choose a college for my kid. After acrutnising on various aspect and leaving behind many top metropolitan cities of India, I prefer to send my kid to the hilly area. It was one of the hard decision that I have taken and kid too agree with it. She is grown up kid and good to see she thinks broadly. It was her choice to study in hilly areas outside the hassle of cities. Predominantly because of the pollution, and croded areas. So we reached out to Solan to get her admitted in one of the premier college of India. Somewhere I am excited too, as I am visiting the place after 23 years. And secondly I will get a chance to see the hills...or I am now on Hills.

Solan is popular for its vast mushroom farming that earned it the title "Mushroom City of India," massive tomato production leading to the nickname "City of Red Gold," pleasant weather, and famous spiritual sites like the Shoolini Mata Temple and Jatoli Shiv Temple. I will definitely like to explore each of the places in whatever rime I get. But my priority was to get all the formalities done at the university. After careying out the formalities and leaving my kids to the University hostel. I went to look out for my accomodation. It was hill side, so find a reasonable stay in the marker areas, which is 15 km away from the university. Getting some time alone, I went out to the road to explore the city. Luckily I am not far away from local Children Park.

It was tye evening around 6PM and I already found the park was crowded with people of all ages. From young boys and girls to aged people to kids. All enjoying at the place. The location was just adjacent to the popular mall road of Solan. But easily can be located. The entrance has the beautiful sculpture of Buddha. The figure reminds us that the place is indeed to find peace and enjoyment.

Situated on top of the hills, you can take a lovely view of the city. How people build their dream homes in the hilly terrain. It was indeed a crowded city with many holes built up around the hills.

The park appears to be an old one with fewer maintenance. There were some recreational rooms but appears to be Azar. I wish to see them functioning.

However there lots of kids and young genz enjoying the ambience of the place. The place has many things that makes kids aware of the wild animals. The walls on the aide were well decorated with murals and swings all around. I took aome time to stroll around to take quick pictures.

It was a timely chance to take a trill and explore one of the happening place of Solan. People whosoever like to take stroll near Mall roads would like a enjoy the ambience of the little park alongside. I loved my short walk, before heading towards the Mall road. Which is more happening place of the city. I hope to write arpund it someday later. But I looked to find a restaurant, to end my hunger. Childrens park does remind the beauty of the place and how everyone like to make place for kids and adults.
In good faith - Peace!!

What a great choice of university for your daughter, away from the city and surrounded by nature, which is perfect for focusing her mind. And best of all, you’ve both agreed on it. It’s a very important step and a wonderful new chapter for her.
The children’s playground has lovely animals and decorations; perhaps it could do with a bit of maintenance, but the children can still play there and enjoy the beautiful mountain surroundings nearby. A lovely walk, big hugs!🤗

The university is in more suitable place than this place. It was 15 km above this place. The area where i stayed is more of the commercial hub of the city. I liked choice though she needs to be prepared for the upcoming challenges ..including snowfall
Life is all about adapting, you'll do great!!🤗
Does your kid get a say at all in where they go to school? I don't think I would have liked where my parents might have ended up sending me to university.
There were two option either to stay in crowded cities likes of bangalore where modernisation has engulfed everything and the other to hills close to nature...so she prefered this one and I obliged it too..Bangalore was too far away from.pur place
That's good. Most kids want to go as far away as possible when they are first out on their own.
Mine one is more grounded than rest of the GenZ.✨️
