Wednesday walk: walking along the alleys (Pistoia)

Hello hivers, an happy Wednesday to you all!
It's a sunny hot Wednesday here in my city (Pistoia, Italy) and after a couple of weeks I thought it was time to write a new content for the nice #Wednesdaywalk community! ❤️
This morning I had to go to the center of my city to meet my friend Margarita for a coffee and some chats together. She is a very awesome person and an artist too, so we are also working on some art projects to do together after the Summer. I'll tell you more about our projects in the next months, but in the meantime I'm here to share with you some pics I took while we were walking along some alleys in my city.

I took these pics with my (old) smartphone because I didn't have my camera with me.
I love to take pics of alleys in a city, more than the main streets, because usually I can find many interesting details and more "real life" there.

The following one is a short alley close to the main square and in the ancient time there were a market there. As you can see at the left of the pics there are some sort of low walls similar to bench close to the wooden door. This is because there was a sort of tavern and people used to sit on that sort of bench to drink and eat outside.

The following alley is another short alley (there are a lot of short alleys in my city) to come to a tower of a church from a small square called "sala".

The view from the following alley is very nice, because you can see the tower of the Dome and, at the right, a part of an ancient building called Palazzo dei Vescovi:

Along some alleys there are some bronze shells attatched on the roof. This was done a couple of years ago to celebrate the "Giubileo Jacopeo", because my city is an hub for the Cammino di San Jacopo. I have to write a content about it and I'll do soon, but in the meantime you can see a commemorative plaque placed in a corner of the main square:

To give some brilliant colors to the day, a couple of pics of a beautiful red flowers in a park not so far from my home:

Well, now I have to come back to my brushes and colors.

See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

What a lovely place to stroll, Silvia. I love the old buildings that have so much history.

Thanks, dear @sunscape ! My city is really a small city, but we have a lot of beautiful corners full of history. ❤️

A wonderful walk is always with a good company. Those alleys are empty ha, but are these the usual route to go somewhere? The view is also nice even though they're mostly just buildings. Its like walking there for the first timr would be like an adventure

There was the market in the main square, so the most part of people was there. These alleys connect a small square with the main route, so just few people use them in the morning. ^_^
