Wednesday Walk with surprise at the end

Hello everyone.
First autumn #WednesdayWalk.
This weekend I went for a walk on Rimski Most or Roman Bridge. This bridge is one of the remaining three stone bridges in Sarajevo. Last time I was here during summer. River that passes under the bridge is river Bosna.

Since it is autumn there is more water around.

Bridge is built in 16th century between 1530 and 1550 by Ottomans. So how name Roman Bridge comes up?
Most probably it was built on ruins of previous bridge that was built by Romans and hence the name.
Lovely 50 meters long stone bridge.

Like I mentioned in the begging this river Bosna. About 2 kilometers from here is spring of river Bosna. So this water is pretty much clean.
Every visit here has different scenery.

When you walk around you will find different angles to take photo of the bridge. There are walkable areas along river bank as well as sitting places.

Bridge is 4.5 meters wide. Autumn gives it another coat and another scenery. During summer you will hear more sounds and bird songs and now its a more quiet walk. Also there is no many people.

Combination of bridge and reflections are very special. Bridge has 7 arches. And since there are reflections they kind get bigger.
With reflections you can see two bridges at same time.

It is also one of the places popular for wedding photos. So if you are here for a weekend you may see bride and groom posing on the bridge.

Now it is more like a shy bridge behind tree branches. People come here when weather is nice and have picnics around the river bank.

I walked around the place. Now it is time to go to other side.

One more look at the bridge before I go.

And then I was about to go when swan family come by.
In this part you may see swan family living here. It think their house is not far down the river. Depending on the season you will see grown swans or swans swimming with their younglings.

I did not expect them to come back but they did.

They came close to me so I was able to take more photos.

There swans. I assume these are two parents and one of the younglings.

They are interesting when they look for food.

They even reached near me. It was nice surprise. I did not expect to see them at this time of the year.

Good walk for a weekend. Visiting nice place with some history and some memories are always enjoyable.
With surprise at the end it was super way to end a walk.
