Wednesday Walk at the Roman bridge

Hello everyone.

Last Wednesday of May and time for another #WednesdayWalk . Since I did not visited Roman bridge or Rimski most for some time I decided that today is good day to do so. It is beautiful stone bridge on river Bosna. It is one of only four stone bridges in city Sarajevo. With summer weather this is super destination to be on. Also you can see swan family swimming around when you visit so I was curious are they around this time. And only way to know that is to go for a walk at Roman bridge.

And here we are. The bridge is built in 16th, between 1530 and 1550. It was built during Ottomans. There was remains of old Roman bridge at the same place so that was where the name comes from.
And beautiful river Bosna passes under the bridge.

As you can see there is nice walk way covered in stones. Greenery completes scenery.

And our question is answered. The swan family is here. I moved to this place the get better look.

They did not move from this place. Just diving into the water and did not swim that much around. Later when I took photos from the bridge I saw the younglings near the grass in the water. So most probably they were protecting the younglings and did not want to get far away .Maybe they stay there during night.
Nice to see them around. Would be nice to visit again in near future to see how the younglings are doing.

Look at the bridge from this side. Bridge has 7 arches and it is 50 meters in length. And width of the bridge is 4.5 meters. You can walk freely around.

You can see many trees around. Wooden banks to sit and relax.

And view from the bridge is lovely. In the back you can see Mountain Igman. And spring of river Bosna is under the mountain. You follow the water and you will reach the spring of the river. Quite simple.

Spending time here is relaxing. Seems like everything is in connection and transition between stone, bridge, river, water, trees and reflections is so smooth.

As you walk around you see many interesting reflections.

During summer days people come here and have picnic.

Also you may see a lot of newly weeds coming here for wedding photos. Seems like a two bridge in one.

It is time to go. It was nice to be back here. Not many places can top Rimski most as #WednesdayWalk destination.

It is special place. Also depends on part of the day you visit. So you need several walks in morning, noon and evening to see all different variants of this place. Reflections are so nice and clear.
Have a nice day.

I can imagine! I think it changes depending on the time of day, but still beautiful... just a different kind. :)
