Exploring ancient Foggia... #TheLongestTrip // I'm at this moment

So, again, my freshest emotions from where I am now, before I go further...
Today I invite you to walk around the old town of Foggia in Italy, where I settled after I left my beloved Bassiano in the province of Latina.
We decided to give away my little Ford Fiesta, hoping to find a car here to visit some of the best beaches within 60km. I was sad to say goodbye to my beloved old village and car. I get used to things and places where I was good. And in 9 days I fell in love with this car :)

But what can you do, our journey continues and we decided that driving a car for 400 km on unfamiliar roads in a hurry would be too difficult for a novice driver like me!
We rented an apartment in Foggia in advance at a very good price, and here we are. In the photo you can see the arch door - this is the entrance to our two-story house. But I will write more about this in another post.
Unfortunately we could not rent a car here, so we relaxed and enjoyed a quiet life and walks in the city.
We settled in the historic center, in a two-story old building, and here we really rested from the constant activity of the last few weeks, when we were constantly in a hurry somewhere and going somewhere!

And in the evening, when the heat became less, and there were beautiful warm Italian evenings, we went for a walk.
Here is one such walk, when we typed in Google: what are the places of interest in the city of Foggia? And the GPS led us to the oldest street in the city.
At first we walked through quiet streets, where we stopped at the magnificent Roman Catholic churches, of which there are many!

Here is one such temple, where I decided to take some photos against the background of the majestic old walls!
You can see in the photo the weathered walls where the grass is growing. And where there is a bell, there live pigeons.

It was already dusk, and the lights on the walls of the temples were turned on, which made them mysterious and even more beautiful!
Next we got to the central square, where there were many people sitting in outdoor cafes, and music could be heard in the temple. Of course, I went in the door to shoot a short video. After all, this is the only way I can feel the uniqueness of this country!

When I left the temple, my daughters were taking pictures on the steps in front of the entrance. And we noticed that the temple has the yellow-blue lighting of my Ukraine! This evening on the streets of Foggia was yellow and blue! I really like walking around the city in the evening, when the ancient architecture seems to come alive in the presence of street lights. I hope you enjoyed walking with me!

Italy have such quiet old towns which have historical buildings and churches. I have always wondered how a feeling is it to live in those mystic places. I think that it would be more than living in a village.
