Good afternoon, everyone.

Yesterday, I posted that we went to visit one of our relatives who had passed away a few weeks ago. She was my mom's aunt, and she died of breast cancer. Their house is an hour's drive from our house and is located in Quirino, Bacnotan, La Union. We live in San Juan, which is one town away.

I went there with my mom and grandma, and we hired a trike to go there. On our way, we passed the clay plot area, which is just one barangay away from the town. This is located in Taboc, San Juan, La Union. It is not very far from where we live. In this area, they sell clay pots, clay stoves, figurines, and souvenirs made of clay. You can see a lot of colorful clay pot stalls along the road. It is along the national highway, so it is very easy to find them. There is also a clay pot school inside one of the resorts, and I have tried doing hands-on clay pot making during the pandemic. It was fun. Maybe I should ask mom if we could go there again and do pottery soon.

Those pots are beautiful. As a child my favorite color was red and I always wanted mom to buy red clothes for me. What is a barangay? I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom's aunt. Please send my sympathy. Hugs 🫂 🙏

Clay pots are the traditional pots used by our ancestors before, even now. My parents bought it some years ago and still be usable up to this day. I am happy you had the chance to see those while you had your walk.
