A Walk With Purpose.

Hello, happy Hump day folks. Welcome to another #wednesdaywalk, a wonderful initiative by @tatoojay. The aim is for us to step out and give our legs those long stretches they deserve. Hehehe. I mean taking a walk, a stroll or just about anything to keep the legs moving. Lol.

It could be a walk around your neighborhood, garden park, nature park, street or along the beach, just anywhere that interests you. And while you're at it, he suggests capturing the moment on camera. Yes, take snapshots of interesting things you find along your way. That's the part I love. 😂

We all know how a simple stroll can often provide us with the opportunity to connect with our environment, including appreciating the beauty of nature around us. Not only that, it can both be fun, refreshing and rejuvenating at the same time.

So as I walked home from the "All Souls' Day" on Sunday, November 2nd, (a day of prayer and remembrance for the faithful departed), the solemn mood lingered, yet I felt a sense of gratitude wash over me. Grateful for life and everything in between, for the privilege to pray for our departed loved ones, and to be part of this beautiful tradition.

And then, my eyes wandered to the beautiful array of fluffy white clouds adorning the sky, and the vibrant greens around me. I spotted the plantain trees and coconut tree bearing fruits, the pumpkin vegetables, the small potato farm and cassava farm.

The beautiful flower plus the unwanted plants - the shrubs and weeds with their beautiful blooms, adding to the local flora's diversity.

And then nature's pollinator, the butterfly fluttering from one flower to another.

In that moment, the world seemed brighter, more delightful, and I felt a sense of connection to the world around me.

The greens, the flowers, the trees – they all seemed to whisper, "Life is precious, cherish it." And in that whisper, I found solace, peace, and gratitude for this gifts - nature's beauty, life's preciousness, the chance to cherish memories of those who've passed, and to celebrate their lives.

A moment spent with nature is one to be treasured.

You are blessed with a wonderful climate that can grow many exotic flowers and produce. In western Canada, it's getting colder and the daylight shorter. Harvesting the last beans and greenish tomatoes, and planted the last of the tulips for next spring. Deciduous trees have turned into their fall colors and raking the leaves almost daily. Winter is coming, brrr...

Yes, we have a pretty good and fertile land.
We're still in the wet season here. In fact, it's been raining for the past few days now. Today, rained cats and dogs. I was lucky I had an umbrella with me, would have been drained. 😅
