A big greeting to everyone in this Wednesday walk 😄 that we share from different regions of the world, and that is the charm that this beautiful community has.

In my walk today I show you some places where I walk quite often, as it is where I pass almost daily when I go by bus to my work, although this time I took some time to walk and take some pictures.

Un gran Saludo a todos en este paseo de miércoles 😄 que compartimos desde diferentes regiones del mundo, y es el encanto que tiene esta linda comunidad.

En mi paseo de hoy les muestro algunos sitios por las que camino con bastante frecuencia, ya que es por donde paso casi a diario cuando voy en ómnibus hacia mi trabajo, aunque en esta ocasión me tomé un tiempo para caminar y tirar algunas fotos.

Before arriving at my destination, when I left my house I found that the road where I had to pass was closed, as they are doing repairs in the water pipes, and there was a whole ditch that could not be crossed so I had to change route, this made me take longer, but in my favor I took advantage and took some pictures.

Antes de llegar a mi destino, al salir de mi casa me encontré con que el camino por donde tenía que pasar estaba cerrado, ya que están haciendo arreglos en las tuberías del agua, y había toda una zanja que no se podía cruzar por lo que tuve que cambiar de ruta, esto me hizo demorar más, pero a mi favor aproveche y tome algunas fotos.

While walking towards where I was going, I took pictures of the surroundings. This place is characterized by having a lot of vegetation, so the beautiful view provided by the trees that at this time of the year (we are in "winter"), still maintain much of their leaves and their beauty is appreciated.

This avenue that I want to show, in spite of its continuous movement of vehicles and buses is a quite calm place, with few passers-by. Although since a few months ago in certain hours of the day, the number of vehicles on the streets is decreasing considerably, this is due to the lack of fuel, caused by the energy crisis that my country is going through.

A medida que iba caminando hacia donde me dirigía iba fotografiando los alrededores. Este lugar se caracteriza por tener bastante vegetación, por lo que se agradece la bella vista que proporcionan los árboles los que en esta época del año (estamos en "invierno"), aún mantienen gran parte de sus hojas y su belleza.

Esta avenida que quiero mostrar, a pesar de su continuo movimiento de vehículos y ómnibus es un lugar bastante tranquilo, con pocos transeúntes. Aunque desde hace unos meses atrás en ciertas horas del día, la cantidad de vehículos en las calles va disminuyendo considerablemente, esto se debe a la falta de combustible, causado por la crisis energética que está atravesando mi país.

It is quite a sunny day, although we are in the month of February. Of Cuba we say that it is an "eternal summer" since the sun and warm temperatures accompany us all year round.
This particular day felt quite warm, with a clear sky, ideal for taking beautiful pictures with natural light.

We were in the Municipality of Playa, which is relatively new as it is considered a municipality since 1976 with the new political-administrative division.

The name of this traffic circle that I show you is known by everyone as "La Muñeca" (The Doll) and it is located on 25th Avenue, every time I ask about this name, I hear the same answer. It is called this way in allusion to the statues of sphinxes that it has in its garden, and it seems that the less knowledgeable people, called dolls to these two Sphinxes (there is one at each end), and this name was given to the site.
The rotunda is always very beautiful, with a well-pruned garden, where the sphinxes are always alert and watching what is happening around them.

This traffic circle connects the municipalities of Marianao, La Lisa and Playa, so it is well known and has several access roads, through which all kinds of vehicles pass.

Es un día bastante soleado, aunque estamos en el mes de Febrero. De Cuba decimos que es un "eterno verano" ya que el sol y las temperaturas cálidas nos acompañan todo el año.
Este día en particular se sentía bastante caluroso, con un cielo despejado, ideal para tomar bellas fotografías con la luz natural.

Nos encontramos en el municipio Playa, que es relativamente nuevo ya que se considera municipio a partir del año 1976 con la nueva división político administrativa.

El nombre de esta rotonda que les muestro es conocido por todas las personas como "La Muñeca" y está ubicada en la avenida 25, cada vez que pregunto acerca de este nombre, escucho la misma respuesta. Se llama así en alusión a las estatuas de esfinges que tiene en su jardín, y es que parece que las personas menos entendidas, les llamaban muñecas a estas dos Esfinges (hay una en cada extremo), y se le quedó este nombre al sitio.
La rotonda siempre está muy bonita, con un jardín bien podado, donde sus esfinges están siempre alertas y vigilando lo que sucede a su alrededor.

Esta rotonda conecta a los Municipios de Marianao, La Lisa y Playa, por lo que es muy conocida y tiene varias vías de acceso, por las que transitan todo tipo de vehículos.

In one of its streets is the well-known Neurosciences Institute (CNEURO) dedicated to the research and development of Neuroscience in Cuba.

En una de sus calles se encuentra el conocido instituto de Neurociencias (CNEURO) dedicado a la investigación y al desarrollo de la Neurociencia en Cuba.
