Hello friends, today I took advantage of a rather cloudy morning to go out and walk the main street of my town (whose name is "Bolivar Street").... The route from my house to the exit of the town goes from West to East and it is about two kilometers long... This is perhaps one of the areas with more movement due to the existence of some businesses and educational centers, so it is perhaps one of the areas of the town where I usually take less pictures... However, today I wanted to walk from my house to the village exit and share my photos and comments with you... 📷😎

Hola amigos, hoy he aprovechado una mañana bastante nublada para salir a recorrer la calle principal de mi población (cuyo nombre es "Calle Bolívar")... El trayecto desde mi casa hasta salir del pueblo va de Oeste a Este y tiene alrededor de dos kilómetros... Esta es quizás una de las áreas con mayor movimiento debido a la existencia de algunos negocios y centros educativos, así que es quizás una de las áreas del pueblo en donde menos fotografías suelo hacer... Sin embargo, hoy querido caminar desde mi casa hasta la salida del pueblo y compartir estas fotos con ustedes... 📷😎

It's Wednesday and there is some activity in town despite the local economic problems... However, in the area where my house is, everything is quieter... So I head down the street to the east to walk around and take pictures.

Es Miércoles y hay algo de actividad en el pueblo a pesar de los problemas económico locales... Sin embargo, en el sector donde está mi casa todo es más tranquilo... Así que me dirijo por la calle hacia el Este para caminar y hacer fotos.

On the roof of my aunt and uncle's old house, this weather vane remains almost motionless... The wind is too light, but it indicates that it comes from East to West, and with that wind comes the morning fog...

En el techo de la antigua casa de mis tíos, esta veleta permanece casi inmóvil... El viento es demasiado leve, pero indica que viene de Este a Oeste, u con ese viento viene la niebla de las mañanas...

Once you leave the square and the church behind, you can see slightly more urban street scenes than the ones I usually share in my publications... Maybe I should stop by more often, but I like better the part of town where everything remains more "old"...

Una vez dejado atrás la plaza y la iglesia aledaña, se pueden observar escenas de calle ligeramente más urbanas a las que suelo compartir en mis publicaciones... Quizás debería pasar por aquí más seguido, pero me gusta más la parte del pueblo en donde todo permanece más "viejo"...

On a school wall you can see a mural with the face of the "pitiful" individual whose government detonated the moral, economic and social crisis in which we currently live.... The "funny" thing about this drawing is that here he appears with his "head full of foliage"... Maybe that explains his disastrous way of governing!... 😂😂😂

En las pared de una escuela se puede ver un mural con el rostro del "lamentable" individuo cuyo gobierno detonó la crisis moral, económica y social en la que vivimos actualmente... Lo "gracioso" de este dibujo, es qué aquí él aparece con la "cabeza repleta de follaje"... ¡Quizás eso explica su desastrosa manera de gobernar!... 😂😂😂

Many of the old and large trees along the boulevard in this street have been dying over time.... Then a local artist called "Pablo Villamediana" usually takes advantage of their trunks to make carved works and leave them as a legacy to the town...". This squirrel is a bit strange (at least in my opinion) because it has a "quite developed butt" and some curiously "human" arms... But who the hell am I to question my sculptor friend Pablo...? 😂

Muchos de los viejos y grandes árboles del bulevar de esta calle, han ido muriendo con el paso del tiempo... Entonces un artista local llamado "Pablo Villamediana" suele aprovechar sus troncos para hacer obras talladas y dejarlas como legado al pueblo"... Esta es una ardilla un poco extraña (en mi opinión al menos) pues tiene un "trasero bastante desarrollado" y unos brazos curiosamente "humanos"... Pero ¿Quien diablos soy yo para cuestionar a mi amigo tallista Pablo?... 😂

A few meters away from the wooden squirrel, this flesh-and-blood squirrel confirms to me that the other one has a big butt and long arms... 😂

A pocos metros de la ardilla de madera, esta ardilla de carne y hueso me confirma que la otra tiene un trasero grande y brazos largos... 😂

The street is not particularly beautiful, our municipality is not exactly known for its good ornamental management... But the fog makes everything begin to look beautiful, at least for a few hours.

La calle no es particularmente bonita, nuestra municipalidad no se conoce precisamente por su buena gestión de ornato... Pero la niebla hace que todo comience a parecer hermoso, cuando menos durante algunas horas.

Wow mushrooms!... I don't see too many fungi around here (Except on my photographic lenses).... So this finding of clusters of small umbrella-shaped mushrooms, is something nice and unexpected for me...🍄

¡Caray hongos!... No veo demasiados hongos por aquí (Salvo en mis lentes fotográficos)... Así que este hallazgo de cúmulos de pequeños hongos con forma de paraguas, es algo lindo e inesperado para mi...🍄

This is my English teacher's house (during high school).... Some say she's still there (and alive)!.... I don't have the exact count, but I finished high school almost four decades ago and my teacher was already quite old.... So maybe she is some kind of android!... 😂

Esta es la casa de mi profesora de Inglés (durante la secundaria)... ¡Algunos dicen que continúa allí (y está viva)!... No tengo la cuenta exacta, pero yo terminé de cursar la secundaria hace casi cuatro décadas y ya mi profesora era bastante mayor... ¡Entonces quizás ella sea una especie de androide!... 😂

This Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus image was also made by the artist "Pablo Villamediana" (the same one who made the squirrel in previous photos)... It is an almost life-size wood carving and is located near the town limits... It is a beautiful and quite emblematic work...

Esta imagen de la Virgen María y el Niño Jesús también fue realizada por el artista "Pablo Villamediana" (el mismo que hizo la ardilla en previas fotos)... Es una talla en madera casi de tamaño natural y está ubicada cerca de los limites urbanos del pueblo... Es un trabajo hermoso y bastante emblemático...

Here in Montalbán you can't miss a picture of people carrying water!.... It is something like "a typical vision of the mornings in the village"... Of course!... The water almost never arrives through the pipes!... 😐

¡Aquí en Montalbán no puede faltar una foto de gente acarreando agua!... Es algo así como "una visión típica de las mañanas en el pueblo"... ¡Claro!... ¡El agua casi nunca llega por las tuberías!... 😐

And this is Pablo Villamediana's house!... It's brutally strange not???... ha ha ha... 😂 I'll have to do a publication about Pablo someday!... He's quite a character, very bohemian and interesting!...

Wow!... I loved this photo as soon as I took it..... I see myself reflected in that kid on his way to his high school through the fog.... That's how I used to go 40 years ago on these roads... It really is for me "My picture of the day"... 📷

And as soon as the urban limits are crossed, the inter-communal highway is full of people taking their children to school... This makes me understand how much the population has grown towards the outskirts of the town...

Y apenas se traspasan los limites urbanos, la carretera inter-comunal se aprecia repleta de personas llevando a sus hijos a las escuelas... Esto me hace entender cuanto ha crecido la población hacia las afueras del pueblo...

On the way back, this place with "STOP" signs in front of the National Guard barracks marks the entrance to the town... In the background you can see the street where I arrived here, the same street where I will return home.

Y ya de retorno, este sitio con señales de "PARE" en frente del cuartel de la guardia nacional, marca la entrada a la población... Al fondo se ve la calle por donde llegué hasta aquí, las misma por donde regresaré a casa.
