To northern part of the town (Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela) we have a rural area locally called "La Monteroza"... It is an area whose land years ago belonged to an old hacienda called "Montero", but over the years it was populated by people from the town until today...

Al norte del pueblo (Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela) tenemos un área rural llamada localmente "La Monteroza"... Se trata de un área cuyos terrenos años atrás pertenecían a una antigua hacienda llamada "Montero", pero con el paso de los años fue poblada por personas del pueblo hasta los días de hoy...

Today I wanted to take advantage of one of the first clear mornings we've had in months and went for a walk there...

Hoy quise aprovechar una de las primeras mañanas despejadas que hemos tenido en meses y salí a caminar hacia allí...

It's 6:30AM and it's bright, but the sun hasn't risen on the horizon...

Son apenas la 6:30AM y hay claridad, pero el sol no ha despuntado en el horizonte...

I walk a little more than a kilometer from my house and I see very few people in the streets, just a few who go to their work in the fields...

Camino poco más de un kilómetro desde mis casa y veo muy pocas personas en las calles, apenas algunos que van a sus labores en los campos...

Soon I reach the end of the paved streets and the beginning of the narrow dirt road...

Pronto llego a donde termina el pavimento de las calles y comienza el angosto camino de tierra...

I get on the road and just a few minutes later the sun rises over the horizon.... It's beautiful to take pictures at that moment!...

Me adentro en el camino y apenas pocos minutos después el sol sale por el horizonte... ¡Es hermoso tomar fotos en ese momento!...

This is an ideal path to take landscape photos, as the valley extends to the foot of the nearby mountains... Also those lovely flowering vines seem to be all over the place!

Este es un camino ideal para hacer fotos de paisajes, pues el valle se extiende a los pies de las montañas cercanas... ¡También esas encantadoras enredaderas con flores parecen estar por todas partes!.

We are in the last week of November, so it is possible that the dry season is already arriving, then the humidity decreases and the air feels fresh and very pleasant to breathe.

Estamos en la ultima semana de Noviembre, así que es posible que ya esté llegando la temporada de sequía, entonces la humedad ambiental disminuye y el aire se siente fresco y muy agradable de respirar.

Curiously I see few birds, but these "Tick Eaters" seem to be watching me from the trees on the edge of the road... They look a bit "ugly" to me, but they are quite friendly and nice... ;-)

Curiosamente veo pocas aves, pero este "Come Garrapatas" parecen observarme desde los arboles en las orillas del camino... Me parecen un poco "feos", pero son bastante amigables y simpáticos... ;-)

The mountains look beautiful and imposing, but if you zoom in on their forested areas, you can see areas where they have been illegally deforested and affected by intentional fires... Something regrettable, but not controlled by anyone.

Las montañas lucen hermosas e imponentes, pero si uno hace zoom sobre sus áreas boscosas, se pueden apreciar zonas en donde han sido ilegalmente desforestadas y afectadas por los incendios intencionales... Algo lamentable, pero no controlado por nadie.

A little more than 2 kilometers from the beginning of the dirty road, there is a small creek... Today I got this far and turned back towards the village...

A poco más de 2 kilómetros desde el comienzo del camino, hay un pequeño arrollo... Hoy he llegado hasta aquí y me he devuelto hacia el pueblo...

The sun has risen in the sky, so the insects slowly begin to appear.

El sol ha subido en el cielo, entonces los insectos comienzan a aparecer lentamente.

No phone, no Twitter, no Whatsapp!!!!... Here people are summoned to a meeting with a small sign at a busy spot on the road!... :-)

From a point on the road, you can see the two church towers in the village... Nice image in my opinion!....

Desde un punto del camino, se pueden observar las dos espadañas de la iglesia del pueblo... ¡Linda imagen a mi juicio!...

Closer to the village, photos keep "appearing" around me without pause... It's lovely to walk along this path in the morning!....

Ya más cerca del pueblo, las fotos siguen "apareciendo" a mi alrededor sin pausa... ¡Es encantador caminar por este sendero en las mañanas!...

A young mother takes her children to school on her motorcycle.... She takes 3 children in addition to herself, good heavens!.... She stops and asks me why I'm taking pictures.... I tell her that I take them to share them and because I enjoy taking them... She doesn't seem to understand this very well, but allows me to take a quick picture of her before she quickly leaves... ;-)

Una joven madre lleva a sus hijos en su moto a la escuela... ¡Lleva 3 niños además de ella, santos cielos!... Ella se detiene y me pregunta que porqué hago fotos... Yo le contesto que las hago para compartirlas y porque disfruto hacerlas... Ella parece no entender muy bien esto, pero me permite hacerle una rápida foto antes de marcharse rápidamente...

I take the opportunity to take some pictures of the trees, here are some really interesting ones.... The one with reddish bark is called by the locals "Indio desnudo" (naked Indian) and the one with the very twisted branches is a "Samán"...

Aprovecho para hacer algunas fotos de los árboles, aquí hay algunos realmente interesantes... Ese de corteza rojiza es llamado por los lugareños "Indio desnudo" y el de ramas muy entramadas es un "Samán"...

I have reached the village again and this ends the most rural part of my walk today... I have enjoyed every part of the road and especially the fresh air and the blue sky...

He llegado al pueblo nuevamente y con esto finaliza la parte mas rural de mi caminata de hoy... He disfrutado cada tramo del camino y en especial el aire fresco y el cielo azul...
