Wednesday walk through the Belgrade design district, the famous "Cumicevo sokace"
Hello Wednesday walkers! 😊
There are places that encourage you to think about the meaning of life or inspire you to live freely in your own style. One such place that I recently walked through, and before that I hadn't for a long time, although it is located in the center of my city, is Cumicevo sokace.

It is a place that even in the 20th century had small craft shops and was as charming as it is today.

As I was passing through the narrow road between shops, I remembered that this place has a special value. Today there are clothing and jewelry stores from local manufacturers and designers.

Tucked away from the city's busy streets, this small passage carries a creative spirit - artisan shops, hidden cafés, and traces of old Belgrade blending naturally with modern life. As you stroll through, there's a sense of pause and you can notice a lot of interesting details. My gaze lingered on the dolls on the roof.

From there, we continued our walk to the Belgrade park and the Kalemegdan fortress.

We spent some time there, and then we headed towards the Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel.

Standing proudly near the confluence of the Sava and Danube, the Cathedral is a witness to centuries of Serbian and Belgrade history.

Inside, the atmosphere is calm and dignified, filled with the soft glow of icons. This is a place where faith, culture, and national identity meet.

Together, Cumicevo sokace and the Cathedral create a walk that connects art, history, and quiet reflection showing how Belgrade reveals its soul not all at once, but step by step.

Thanks for walking with me.

That's a very exciting walk, that one with a different shops is a good place to check some things. I'm curious if it become livelier on a particular time. The Park looks really nice too, lots of greens and tree. If you want a different surroundings or want 5o rest from the walk, the Park is really the perfect place for that. And the beautiful Cathedral, for sure there's a thousands of stories already inside of it, maybe some are still hidden. 🌼💃🌟
It’s really beautiful to walk around there because the place is so nice. For sure, you’ll enjoy looking at the architectural designs, learning about the history, and walking under the trees—it’s very refreshing. I enjoyed reading your blog very much.
Such a beautiful city! I amaze the design 😍🥰 Even me, I want to walk around here.
Looks like a lovely area. And that gargantuan chandalier inside the church is impressive O_O
