Caracas is a city that offers us incredible spaces, and despite being a modern capital, we can still find traces of its original and imposing nature. I would dare to say that the large parks in this city are like small sanctuaries, where many species have found a home, nature can grow peacefully, and the benefits of this situation are much cooler temperatures, purer air, and unparalleled beauty.

Caracas es una ciudad que nos regala espacios increíbles y a pesar de tratarse de una capital de características modernas aún podemos encontrar en ella los vestigios de una naturaleza originaria e imponente, me atrevería a decir que los grandes parques de esta ciudad, son como pequeños santuarios, en los cuales muchas especies han encontrado un hogar, la naturaleza podrido crecer de forma tranquila y los beneficios de esta situación es vano mucho más fresco, con un aire más puro y una belleza inigualable.

For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed walking and enjoying all the public spaces in this city, but I must admit that there are some that particularly catch my attention, perhaps because of their structure, their location, or the energy that can be felt there. This is how Los Caobos Park has become one of my favorite places. It is a small forest crisscrossed by various paths, where nature is the protagonist, but at the same time, space is left for different artistic displays, which in general terms have very peculiar characteristics, as they are quite realistic expressions, capable of connecting with the deepest part of our being.

Desde que tengo memoria me ha gustado pasear y disfrutar de todos los espacios públicos de esta ciudad, pero debo admitir que existen algunos que me llaman peculiarmente la atención, quizás por su estructura, su ubicación o las energías que ahí se perciben. Es así como el Parque Los Caobos se constituye en uno de mis lugares favoritos, que se trata de un pequeño bosque surcado por diversas caminerías, en donde la naturaleza es la protagonista, pero al mismo tiempo se le deja espacio a diferentes muestras artísticas, las cuales en términos generales tienen características muy peculiares, ya que son expresiones bastante realistas, capaces de conectar con lo más profundo de nuestro ser.

It is a park dominated by the shadows of large trees, but at the same time nestled in the geographical heart of the city, bordered by highways and right in the middle of a busy pedestrian corridor. Here, there is a calm atmosphere where we can rest our minds and sometimes distract our hearts, always with the sound of a constant breeze, the fluttering of birds, and the crackling of dry leaves being crushed by the passage of time in the background.

Es un parque dominado por las sombras de los grandes árboles, pero al mismo tiempo enclavado en el corazón geográfico de la ciudad, bordeado por autopistas y justo en medio de un corredor peatonal muy transitado. Aquí se respira un aura tranquila, en donde podemos descansar la mente y en algunas ocasiones distraer a nuestro corazón, siempre teniendo de fondo el sonido de una brisa constante, el revolotear de las aves y el chasquido de las hojas secas siendo trituradas por el paso del tiempo.

As expected, during the weekdays it is a fairly quiet place, a space where young people abound, with the joy and charisma of a generation that only looks to the future. Without a doubt, it is the ideal place to walk aimlessly, meet a friend, or enjoy the company of a lovely partner. I have no doubt that this park hides many secrets, great stories, and countless memories; some of them will be collective, but others hold a deep individuality.

Como es de esperarse, durante los días de semana se trata de un lugar bastante tranquilo, un espacio en donde abundan los jóvenes, la alegría y el carisma de una generación que solo mira hacia el futuro. Sin duda alguna, es el espacio ideal para caminar sin rumbo fijo, encontrarse con algún amigo o disfrutar de la compañía de una linda pareja. No me cabe la menor duda de que es un parque que esconde muchos secretos, grandes anécdotas y una infinidad de recuerdos; algunos de ellos serán colectivos, pero otros resguardan una profunda individualidad.

I just came to walk for a while, enjoy the sky, and reconnect with the cold weather typical of this time of year, when the sun shines weakly, the wind blows constantly, and every now and then a light drizzle brightens our day. I find these spaces deeply inspiring, but at the same time they are ideal places to disconnect from the world around us and reconnect with our inner selves, which sometimes seem forgotten by routines and the stalking of a world that seems to devour us without our realizing it.

Yo solo vine a caminar un rato, disfrutar del cielo y reencontrarme con ese clima frío típico de estos meses del año, en donde el sol brilla con poca intensidad, el viento es constante y de vez en cuando una ligera llovizna nos alegra el momento. Estos espacios me parecen profundamente inspiradores, pero al mismo tiempo son lugares ideales para desconectarnos del mundo que nos rodea y reencontrarnos con nuestro ser interior, el mismo que a veces parece olvidado por las rutinas y el acecho de un mundo que pareciera devorarnos sin darnos cuenta.

Taking a day to stroll and enjoy life is also one of the most rewarding pleasures of our existence, since it is thanks to these moments of deep catharsis that we can recover our spirits, recharge our energies, and better face the contradictions of a reality that is truly abstract, since, without realizing it, it is full of nuances and contrasts.

Tomarse un día para pasear y disfrutar de la vida es también uno de los placeres más gratificantes de nuestra existencia, ya que es gracias a estos momentos de profunda catarsis que podemos recuperar nuestro ánimo, recargar las energías y presentarnos de mejor forma ante las contradicciones de una realidad que es verdaderamente abstracta, puesto que, sin darnos cuenta, está plagada de matices y contrastes.
