Game of Thrones film location
Hello wednesday walkers.
I will take you with me on a little journey to a very touristic place on the North coast of Spain. It is very famous because this was a filming location of the series Game of Thrones. But I didn't know that at all.
San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Bermeo
I already pinpointed this location on my maps a couple of years ago. I think I saw it on Instagram some where, not knowing that this was such a famous location. And when I arrived there, there were a lot of people already. But there also was a gate, with a big sign that said the stairs were closed for maintenance. To bad.
But still people were walking down there and I decided to not do that but to go for a nice walk the other way. I looked at maps and I saw a lighthouse a couple of kilometers away from this island. And that was good. I had some awesome views from up there.
The route was a little bit longer that I thought and I just had a couple of cookies with me. I really need to put some emergency cookies in my camera bag.
I could keep a nice eye on the island in the distance. It was not a difficult navigation route but it was steep now and then.
Especially the last part. When you see this thing and think that you are almost there.
But the real lighthouse is a bit more down I didn't took pictures of the part of the track because I was mad that I tough to be there already 😂
The view was nice over there. I sat down and just stare in tho the distance a bit, eating my last cookie. time to go back, I was hungry. All was about a 10km walkies.
And to finish the story, I am not watching Game of thrones so i didn't reconcile it there. Later on I discovered that this was such a famous location when I was watching some travel show on TV.

The place is really beautiful. I think the best hike was the one you had. 10 km is quite a lot of physical exercise... sometimes I get angry too when I don't know where I'm going and I feel that I don't get there. We are prey to anxiety. It's funny because on the way back it feels so fast.
The views you have here are breathtaking.
I can't figure out what scene it is but I think I know the place.
The distance is good, but it was steep, I am not used to it. And I don't know what episode, I don't watch that show
There is a saying that all saints help below. Your return was almost like stepping off the back of a dragon hahaha.... thank you.
