A walk through the Ibirapuera park in Brazil

Hello walkers and friends!

A walk through the Ibirapuera park in Brazil

Today a new walk, but a walk that is not new, but rather one of those walks that we take when we visit different places, walking or traveling, isn't it almost the same thing?

And a walk through nature is always most inspiring, we breathe fresh air, enjoy the views and feel more connected and happy under the warm sun, we even smile more.

So I join once again the #WednesdayWalk community challenge hosted by @tattoodjay and if I understand correctly, also the “Make Me Smile” challenge hosted by @elizacheng :) I hope that after seeing such a landscape many will smile. Here we go.

Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo, Brazil

Brazil one more time, but this time not the city itself, but rather we discover the green heart of a great asphalt metropolis, a tide of gigantic buildings that seems to have no end, São Paulo, but inside there also breathes nature, and the truth it is that a space like this is needed, green, pure and alive, to get out of the urban chaos without leaving the city.

And during my time there, among the poorly made sidewalks, I felt that I needed to relax and I discovered that the most important park in the city was very close. Ibirapuera park.

As soon as we enter, giant trees welcome us, people who walk or run along the different paths, and it is a matter of choosing one or the other path to discover that bubble of green life that now surrounds us.

The most striking thing is the internal lake, bigger than it seems and with many animals that seem oblivious to all the traffic and rhythm that the city seems to continue carrying out there. We can see swans, ducks and many fish in those calm waters, and we remain calm, looking from the shore, and crossing a bridge. Suddenly we lose almost all vision of the skyscrapers and it seems that we are very far away.

All green, leafy and with the calm waters of the lake, it seems the image of a painting, are we really still in one of the most populated and largest cities?

We look from different perspectives and there on the horizon they continue, the present city continues, waiting for our return.

But we continue walking, strolling and also discovering incredible buildings inside, but different, small white modern white design buildings, some designed by the famous Brazilian architect Niemeyer, who has carried out so many iconic works in the country. And inside they house different exhibitions (such as the one on the human body). Also on the route we come across some more, scattered among the vegetation, some other museum or place for events... And even an obelisk, I guess as a monument of tribute of some historical moment.

Everything in harmony, despite the difference, nothing out of place. And life goes on, people forget, take a deep breath and de-stress. A place like this is needed.

But time passes, it is running out and we have to leave, when we leave we perceive in the surroundings again that we are in a city, tall buildings, with modern glass facades, mixed with electric cables and other older buildings that do not seem to have meaning in the same space. Cars also seem from another era, but the area is quiet, I realized that I was very close, too close for not having discovered before this immense park that I was so longing for.

I return with the same calm, with the same leisurely, deep and joyful rhythm with which I toured the Ibirapuera Park, but I keep looking around and I see a sticker on the window of a van with the quote: "Never give up". (Jamais se dê por vencido).

It is true, when we least expect it we find a small green paradise in the middle of the city and we smile.

Thanks for reading! Have a bright and nice day.

Happy Wednesday!

WOW such a beautiful park, and WOW a black swan so very rarely I have seen one of those

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk, its my pleasure to host it and see all the posts each week from all around the world, including yours, if you have time visit some of the other walks this week there are so many interesting ones

Now I know most only post once a week using the Wednesday walk tag or community and I truly appreciate that and love visiting the posts so for most of you you can ignore the next sentence

I try and be nice and let people know via a comment to only post once a week, but some just abuse it and to me spam multiple posts a week, after asking nicely a few times and being ignored, this morning I regrettably had to mute a couple of people who were spamming the Wednesday walk tag

I understand totally but if this community is named Wednesday Walk people should post just on Wednesday, it's simple. I will try to visit other more sure.
I appreciate your comment and I'm happy you like the photos and the black swan! 🙏 !LOLZ

A lovely park hidden in the midst of a busy city. How amazing is that! Thank you for taking us on a tour and sharing your lovely experience too. I would have loved a park like that in my city. LOL! An advance happy weekend...

https://twitter.com/hiveblocks_es/status/1650911640089509903?s=46&t=W5hJvHl_lRVpkUkzLgRlPQ

🤗 !LUV

Ibirapuera Park is very big and beautiful. It reminds me of Deosai National Park. I visit it about 2 years ago. It is also a very awesome place to visit in Pakistan.
