A walk from the sea to the woods

Hello walkers and friends!

Walking always makes us feel good, sometimes it makes us feel better, especially if we enjoy the environment that we are exploring and discovering. Also, if the weather is nice and the company is good, it can be very special and pleasant.

So I come here again, another Wednesday to share a new nice #WednesdayWalk (of the last Saturday really), thanks to the initiative of @tattoodjay and this inspiring community.

This time the walk begins as usual or as I like, near the sea. And what better day one of those in which the sky is blue, only and simply blue. Another blue as beautiful and brilliant as that of the sea that we can contemplate, smell and almost feel because the waves accompanied us gently moved by a wind that at certain times was cold, must have come from far away. But the sun above warms us, and with each step more.

Now there is a sudden change, we leave the familiar scene, the usual route that takes us back to another promenade to turn left, and among many plants or reeds, which seem to be natural feather dusters, we find a new undiscovered path...

A path adorned with a lot of green, now in contrast with the blue of the sky that is still intense. We are surprised to almost be in a place that seems to be the beginning of a forest, like being in the woods... with increasingly larger and more leafy trees that invite us to continue along the dirt path. And we are very curious and eager.

The trail changes, sometimes it is just a dirt road and sometimes it seems more elaborate, as if someone had taken the time to place small stones as decoration on the sides to better mark the area of passage. Because people pass by, not a lot to be honest, some people in the opposite direction, some more that went almost off the road but in general there was peace, serenity and silence, despite having a road next to it, not very busy at the time because it was not be one of the main And curiously, suddenly a large building bursts in and breaks with all that natural panorama.

We keep looking around at those tall trees, some not so much due to the force of the wind, because such winds have left evidence of their power by bending many of the trunks. But they are still there and we take shelter under their thousands of green leaves that sometimes seem to play with the rays of sunlight. Some of these leaves are gigantic, a large and imposing plant, of which I later see several, they are not fig leaves, although they appear larger. Precious plant.

On the other side, the bed of a river, the delta that announces the mouth, now all full of vegetation, you can go somewhere, and cross to the other side, but we don't know where, we see several small hidden paths but we continue forward It is still early for that, but after that we did not find more. Would it be better to go back?

Cars appear out of nowhere in the middle, where do they come from? There is another path, like a hidden highway, and we go along a side carefully, although now not many others pass. Yes, when you get to the other side, now you have to go in the opposite direction, and immersed in so much vegetation I lose my senses and my orientation.

We just have to keep going, enjoying the solitude sheltered by so much green landscape, but also with color, a tree with its small yellow fruits gives a different touch. Although also something unexpected, a structure, that more than a house seems to be something more due to the sound of some animals, perhaps a farm, there in the middle of nowhere, or just in the middle of those beautiful surroundings.

Even a path under the reeds that keep appearing and close like a canal of water or part of the river? And I wonder among so much vegetation where the sea will have been, I no longer see it, I do not hear it and I do not feel it. I get lost.

I continue walking, under the bright sun that accompanies me all the way even behind the trees... until suddenly I see the desired destination on the horizon, again that other blue beyond the sky. The sea that I rediscover or maybe the sea rediscovers me, through a channel of the river that appears with water from nowhere and that also arrives like me with eagerness to the sea.

I feel satisfaction for all that environment there so close, so natural and so beautiful, an extra gift next to the sea that gives everything more color and more life.

From the sea to the woods, and from the trees to the palm trees that lead me back to the sea.
