Boats, sea, rocks, park, the horizon, the past and immensity.
There are places where one walks that are full of history and, knowing this, it feels as if one is treading where others have trodden, many others, even though we do not know them.

Every day I get to know this city better, every corner, and that's thanks to my walks, many of them very long. I cover great distances, take a break, and continue. Other times I have picnics or drink Argentine mate, and other times I just contemplate what I see.
The sea gives me something that no other place does. I don't know if it's the sound of the waves, the gentle swaying that resembles a delicate dance, or simply seeing the immensity and life. I have always loved water in all its forms. For example, I would feel trapped if I lived in the mountains, as if there were a wall around me. On the other hand, the sea offers me both immensity and the mystery of what lies beyond. I can see into infinity, even though I don't know what's so far away.

The sea and water in general have always been a great inspiration to me, especially for writing and painting. And this journey or walk begins at a shipyard where I could see few boats as they were inside a large facility, but I was able to admire a beautiful boat. I love them all, all boats.
I remember when I went to drawing and painting classes, I always wanted to paint ships, even if they were warships. I was passionate about it.

There is always something to look at, I always like to look back and I always say it, I really like paying attention to details and surroundings. There was a restaurant near where I was and houses and flats that were originally built for fishermen in this neighbourhood. It was a neighbourhood dedicated to fishing and I love walking around it. But this time, the idea was to follow the coast.

Passing through some narrow streets, I came to a park, which reminded me of one in my hometown, and I say “was” because, for many reasons, it hardly exists anymore, not as I knew it.

Looking up, I could see many nests. I'm not sure what kind of birds they belonged to, but I love seeing them and also enjoying the walk among the eucalyptus trees.

A few metres away was the sea, whose small waves and foam gently lapped against a large family of rocks on the shore, creating a sweet, relaxing sound.
The truth is that I could spend hours sitting on the sand admiring the water coming and going, listening to the sound it makes. I lose track of time and my gaze becomes one with the horizon where the sea meets the sky. I love the sea so much that when I am in it, I feel part of it.

I think it is, along with rain, the best sound there is, at least for me. Both are calming for the mind and healing for the spirit. But I wanted to continue my walk, so I only stayed in that place for a few minutes.

Further on, another place with a lot of history awaited me, where there is a large and famous restaurant that, in its heyday, hosted parties. In the era of the bourgeoisie, it had tennis and football courts, and everything sparkled.

Today, this resort is still beautiful, although I find it more rustic, more adapted to modern times, and perhaps in need of a major refurbishment. But I really like the way it looks. It is called Baños del Carmen.

There is a path in front of the places where you can sit and have a drink, where you can walk along the seashore and the water looks so beautiful and crystal clear that it is almost as if it were not there.
If I look up, I see boats, the horizon, the harbour in the distance, the city and more of the beauty of the sea.

To continue my walk, I had to leave through the large entrance to the place, where you can see its age, more than 100 years old. Once through that gate, the path continues along a promenade. The reason I had to do that is because in that area there is no longer a sandy beach to walk on, only rocks.

As I walked away, I could see the building on one side, imagining its former splendour, and on the other side, the mountains, the harbour and the city.

I walked for a long time and as I did so, I looked down at the sea, which was very calm, and I could see the bottom and its wonderful colours.

I can't help but look at the sea and always the horizon, how magnificent the calm water is and the peace it conveys to me.
Thank you very much for accompanying me on this Wednesday walk. I send you my warmest regards. See you soon.

Thank you very much @stresskiller and @ecency 😃🤗
Good morning @avdesing. I can tell you that I'm also getting to know Málaga better every day, and I never tire of discovering it through your posts. Starting the walk in that fishing quarter is a great idea; I love walking around there. The nests are huge... I don't know what giant birds might live there... be careful.
Right now, as I write to you, I'm enjoying the vastness of the sea... in a little while, I'll continue this walk with you under the spring sun, although I have a feeling I'll end up gazing at the sea...
By the way, the photos are fantastic... thanks for sharing these walks.
Big hug. Have a great day! 🤗
I don't really know what nests they are, because there are lots of seagulls there, but they were huge and I loved discovering them. The sea is always beautiful to me. Thank you very much!!!
Thank you so much!! Now I'm going to see if I can get some lunch and then I'll head to the office... Have a great day (and watch out for those nests!). 😨
🤗👋
I hope they're not vultures... ha ha ha, I'd rather they were owls, I love them. I'm off to the kitchen too!!! Have a lovely afternoon!🤗
Same to you... See you tomorrow 🤗

Good morning, dear friend @avdesing
Walks, besides being good exercise, are undoubtedly an excellent way to discover new places in the city where we live.
The park you visited is beautiful; I loved seeing the parrot nests. They usually nest in the branches of eucalyptus trees.
What a lovely Wednesday walk! You show us beautiful places.
Have a great day!
You solved my mystery, they are parrot nests! Thank you! I loved this walk, thank you very much!
How nice is that family of rocks bathing in the calm sea... Oh well, they could also be kind, with or without becoming kindness rocks 😂
I get what you say about the proximity of the sea; there is something that attracts us to it, but we can't always define the exact word. It also gives inspiration, that's true. Thanks for taking us on this enjoyable walk @avdesing 😇
Lately I've been feeling very... rocky... this walk inspired tomorrow's, of course there will be rocks of kindness... a first, rocks to say goodbye to summer!
I am looking forward to seeing your kindness rocks! Summer would be happy too 😉
Ya están listas, falta escribir... jajaja
👏👋👋
Bien!!! :)))
Espero te gusten, a mi me encantan!
¡Estoy segura de que también me encantarán! I always like everything you paint on the rocks
I won't say what it is!🤣
Beautiful weather. I like how you framed this shot with the trees, and the ocean in the distance.
I also loved that view. I came out of a corridor and saw that. Beautiful!
I love discovering different places related to nature. This place is spectacular. The waters are crystal clear, it's impressive.
Thank you so so much @marilui91 🤗
Hello Amonet
Your walks are beautiful, and you always discover lovely places in your wonderful city.
I love the coast; I could spend hours walking there, or sitting on the sand with my toes in the crystal-clear water.
I also love the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks.
I love your photos, and your Wednesday walks.
The sound of waves is one of the most relaxing sounds; I love it. Thank you!

We are already looking forward to reading more about your adventures!
Thanks!!!🤗🤗🤗
Those possibly talkative birds need comfort for their chatter. That’s why the nests look so cosy and spacious haha… surely they hold gatherings there, by the sea. A very inspiring walk… I absolutely loved it. 😉
So they're nests of parrots or parakeets... but they're Argentinean! I don't know why they didn't come down to talk to me, ha ha ha. I love those nests! Thank you!
