A maze of gardens overlooking the lagoon.
I always say that nature is the greatest artist of all, and sometimes it gets a little help from humans, who design special spaces in the middle of the city and take advantage of what nature has to offer.
Walking among bushes and flowers brings back fond memories of a past that sometimes seems distant, very distant, but which belongs to this life, in another country. This beautiful and magical park has countless spaces, all different in design, to explore and enjoy intensely.
From listening to the water in the distance, the breeze among the trees, watching the butterflies flutter around me, to traveling back in time when I see a bush that brings back those memories, because it existed at my grandparents' house. A walk full of plants, intense blue sky with white clouds like cotton, and each of the wonderful and special spaces.
A lake path guided me to walk, observing different things that appeared before me. The place is very large, too large. I even found a map with the extensions along the way. I looked at it and decided to continue west because it indicated that there were some gardens ahead. I like to explore each space, enjoying its details, rather than the whole and actually seeing nothing.
This sign was missing some tiles, perhaps due to the passage of time and lack of maintenance. Many parks have been vandalized in recent years. Who could do such things in such a beautiful place? But there are those who do.
It talks about crafts, noble crafts, such as pottery and the pottery industry. It is possible that in the past there was something related to this theme near this place.
All the plants and shrubs were arranged in beautifully designed flower beds, each with different species and colors.
From time to time, between some large plants, I could see the lagoon in the distance.
And following the path I had mapped out in my mind after looking at the map, I could see those green spaces. As I got closer, I noticed that the bushes had been cut and pruned in a special way, as if they were a large maze.
But at the same time, it reminded me of those famous castle gardens around the world that have impressive designs in front of them and surely take a long time to maintain.
I entered the maze and felt like I was in a princess and fantasy movie, or perhaps like in that very old movie of the same name, where a girl had to save her baby brother. I hope someone remembers it.
I explored every corner of the beautiful, well-designed, and magical natural maze. I tried to hold my phone as high as possible to take pictures that would show its beauty and the work that went into creating it.
When I left the maze and crossed a path a few steps away, I found a space specially prepared for picnics, with tables, wooden benches, and absolutely everything surrounded by olive trees. More memories came to mind, as where I lived there were three olive trees that provided beautiful shade. They were very tall, and I learned how to cure both green and black olives.
These olive trees were shorter and provided ideal shade for spending a long time in the fresh air, admiring the landscape. I had brought something simple to eat and some fruit. Of course, I couldn't forget fresh water. I stopped there for a moment longer and resumed my walk.
I found some signs about the species in that area, such as broom, which is a shrub that can reach three meters in height, with yellow flowers in clusters, and is typical of this area of the Mediterranean, but I remember also having it in Argentina. According to the description, it is used as firewood and enriches the soil.
That sign made me notice a hidden path that descended further and further. I like exploring and adventure, so I left the path I had planned at the beginning and followed this new one.
As I descended, I could see the beautiful lagoon and its surroundings. I noticed the extent of the entire park and thought about how much I still have to discover, and that's wonderful.
My walk ended in the lowest area, and just then the sun hid behind a cloud, causing the water to change color to a deep blue and creating beautiful reflections.
A walk in a natural environment, even though it was artificially created, which I loved getting to know, I enjoyed it very much.
Thank you very much for joining me on this Wednesday walk. I send my best regards to all of you. See you soon.

Hello Amonet, how are you?
It's so true. Nature is the best artist, and your city, with its beautiful spaces, seems like a natural museum, like this beautiful place you visited.
I love that lagoon area. I would spend hours sitting there.
What beautiful photos.
Enjoy a beautiful day.
It's a beautiful place to walk and sit and enjoy. Thank you very much. Have a wonderful day!
Good morning, dear friend @avdesing, how are you?
What a beautiful natural heritage you have in your city. This park, besides being large, is truly beautiful.
I really like how well-preserved it is. It shows how much care they take to maintain the large garden.
That lake area reminds me of a pond we had in a neighborhood where I spent my teenage years.
Beautiful photographs.
Have a beautiful day.
They are very beautiful places where you feel like there is no city, only nature. I am glad I brought back memories for you. Have a wonderful day, thank you!
I've always said that when humans live in harmony with nature, the result is the wonders you show us.
When I see the predominant color green in a post, I marvel because it's synonymous with a beautiful natural landscape.
As a geography teacher, one of my missions has always been to fight for the protection of nature, and in this post, I see how this is present, despite the missing tiles.
Thank you for this post, my dear @avdesing
They mainly take care of everything for tourism, but this area is not particularly touristy, and yet they still preserve it, which amazes me every day. I love nature, thank you very much!
What a sunny day!... Excellent article, with masterful photos as always coming from you @avdesing friend!!!

Have a great day
It is a fascinating and beautiful place to visit. Thank you very much!🤗
👍🙂👍
Beautiful pictures, Amonet. What is the name of the park? Where is it located? In Malaga? I'm going to the city eventually, so I could visit it.
I thought you had been to the city... I'm quite far away from there, but I was able to visit the area a few months ago, it's beautiful!!! The exact location of those maze gardens is on the map. It's called Laguna la Barrera. I hope you can go!!
I'll look for it. It looks like a peaceful place, where you can take a walk and spend some time enjoying nature. Thank you @avdesing
You can also have picnics. It's a wonderful place to spend the day! Enjoy your trip!
The palm trees are the ladies watching you from afar, brimming with fantasy, weaving hypnotic worlds, haha… and rediscovering the landscapes with such freshness that we could visit them hundreds more times, guided by your hand. It seems you've awakened poetry in me.
Or maybe some invisible horizons... not bad at all! Hahaha. Thank you!🤗
They’re on the horizon, I can see them. Haha… thank to you, always.
I'll go to those places, I need weeks of 14 days!😃
Don’t wait for tomorrow. The future is now. ;)
Mañana... mañana... es verano...😉
Hi @avdesing, I'm always fascinated by the times you choose for your walks... the places don't seem empty, but peaceful. Although today I think I saw a few strollers. It's true that the park is an artificial construction, but I really enjoyed the tranquility of this almost domesticated nature. The photographs are very good; I love the ones of the lagoon.
Thanks for the walk. A big hug.
I don't like going when there are a lot of people around; I want the place to myself... Hahaha, the truth is that I like photographs without people in them when I'm out walking. I don't like having my photo taken, so I don't do that to other people. Besides, I prefer pure nature. Thank you very much!
Ahora el que está de paseo soy yo... Te veo mañana o dentro de un rato.. 👋
Disfruta el paseo!!! Hasta mañana!👋
