The great Ficus Tree in Palermo

Here a few shots of the Great Ficus of Palermo located in the Garibaldi garden, one of the oldest and largest tree in Europe. Was planted around 1863. It is a Ficus macrophylla native to Australia but introduced to Sicily during the 19th century.
