Searching For Friends Of Peace - Day 6 || IAmAliveChallenge (IAAC) #220

The day was Saturday 22nd of November, 2025, the sixth day of the preaching campaign in search of the friends of peace at Ikot Abia, Mkpat Enin local government area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

The time is some minute after 6 o'clock in the morning, we were up to start the morning routine and preparation to move. But before moving out, we considered the morning worship daily text which was taken from Psalm 94:17 and it says; "If Jehovah had not been my helper, I would soon have perished."

Our heavenly father Jehovah can help us to persevere. Sometime it may be a struggle to carry on, especially if we are coping with a persistent weakness. At times, our weaknesses may seem more challenging than those that the apostle Peter faced. But Jehovah can give us the strength not to give up.

That text was like coming at the right time because as imperfect humans, some may have entertain the thought of returning to Uyo the following day which makes our stay one week, coupled with sunflies bites we experience, not sleeping comfortably and other reasons, but the text restore our strength and determination to go on in the next eight days to make our stay two weeks. When we consider the joy of saving souls, our faces brightens up and even the aged sisters amongst us could say, "let us go," and of course we did go. Jehovah prove to be what he wants to be in other to help us remain in our Christian course of searching for the friends of peace.

After prayer we then prepare the breakfast, took our bath and get dressed and then settle to eat the breakfast together.

After the preparation we move to the kingdom hall for the meeting for field service where we meet with other local brothers and sisters who were very encourage by our presence and so came out in numbers. The overseer gave some reminders and direction to the area we will be preaching. Then pairing and prayer took place, we then we set out for the sixth territory at Ikot Ubo Akpan, Ikot Abia, Mkpat Enin local government. With the help of two motorcycles we were conveyed in-turns to the entrance of the village where we will start the preaching.

There were no much houses along that path, we had to trek for some minutes into the village till we got to a sort of village square which looks very serene and well cared for. The environment really looks nice for relaxation, moonlight game play and other communities activities.

The first house we met was a mood house in a state of dilapidation with no one at home.

We pressed on and met few other ones with few people to witness to. Then we navigate the nooks and crannies of the community and declare the message of hopes and bright future. The people were receptive and welcoming.

It was equally an adventure seeing some wonderful landscapes along the way. After completing the area, we were set to return back. So the trekking began but we didn't felt it much because we encouraged one another by our faith and endurance.

On getting to the community's square again we decided to rest a bit and enjoy the atmosphere.

To shorten the distance a bit, our guide told us that there is a path just by the left that leads to a river in the next community, so we took that path

And we navigated to the river that serves as the boundary with another community.

Wow, so cool, we found people washing, bathing and cooling it off the hot afternoon in the water.

After entertaining ourselves by sight seeing, we proceed to navigate to the express way and then back to the base to prepare for dinner as well as prepare for the next day's adventures in search of the friends of peace.

It was really a thrilling experience working in God's vineyard.
