Aún estamos en primavera y todo comienza a cambiar. Y es igual en todas partes del mundo. Puedo ver post de personas en distintos puntos de planeta hablando de las flores, de la mejora del clima, que el frío se va y que los colores vuelven. Eso motiva a la gente.

De hecho, muchas veces converso con mi amiga Loli, que vivió en Alemania por diez años y aunque fue hace mucho tiempo, me cuenta sobre los inviernos largos, la nieve, y el color del cielo. Su madre cuando volvió a España, resalto el azul intenso del cielo y que hacia diez años que casi siempre ese cielo era gris.

El clima influye sobre la naturaleza y nosotros somos parte de ella, por lo tanto, la primavera como el verano da más alegría, reaviva el entorno, y sobre todo da más ánimo. Aquí en el sur de España el clima es muy diferente a cuando vivía en Argentina, donde el frío es demasiado y el verano es intenso al extremo. Aquí el verano… se deja querer, aprendí a quererlo, esperarlo y abrazarlo. Y creo que sobre todo en ello ha ayudado que tengo el mar cerca.

El mar siempre ha sido una fuente de inspiración para mí, aunque antes nunca podía verlo ni estar cerca de él. El agua en si misma para mí representa la vida, la energía, la limpieza de cualquier carga negativa y me relaja mucho.

Por ello hoy estaba inspirada, escuchando sonidos de agua que yo misma he gravado de cascadas y de mar para dedicarle un poema, no sólo al verano y al mar, sino a esta comunidad, porque las vibraciones de verano son pura alegría. Incluiré la versión en español, para poder apreciar la rima en la poesía, ya que mi lengua original es el español.

It’s still spring and everything is starting to change. And it’s the same all over the world. I see posts from people in different parts of the globe talking about the flowers, the improving weather, the cold fading away and the colours returning. That lifts people’s spirits.

In fact, I often chat with my friend Loli, who lived in Germany for ten years, and although it was a long time ago, she tells me about the long winters, the snow, and the colour of the sky. When her mother returned to Spain, she remarked on the intense blue of the sky and how, for ten years, that sky had almost always been grey.

The weather influences nature and we are part of it; therefore, spring and summer bring more joy, revitalise the surroundings, and above all lift our spirits. Here in southern Spain, the climate is very different from when I lived in Argentina, where the cold is too much and the summer is intensely hot. Here, summer… is something to be cherished; I’ve learnt to love it, look forward to it and embrace it. And I think having the sea nearby has helped with that more than anything.

The sea has always been a source of inspiration for me, even though I used to never be able to see it or be near it. Water itself represents life, energy and the cleansing of any negative energy for me, and it relaxes me deeply.

That’s why I felt inspired today, listening to the sounds of water, which I recorded myself, from waterfalls and the sea, to dedicate a poem not only to summer and the sea, but to this community, because the vibes of summer are pure joy. I’ll include the Spanish version so you can appreciate the rhyme in the poetry, as my native language is Spanish.

Vibraciones de verano.

Como destellos imperceptibles en el aire,
es que el clima cálido asoma sutilmente,
cómo alguien que llamar la atención no quiere,
como las olas que llegan suavemente.

Él aparece en las calles, mezclándose entre la gente,
acelerando sus corazones y dibujando sonrisas,
porque dar energía es lo que tiene en mente,
multiplicando la alegría en sus brisas.

Llega en cada espuma del mar que moja la arena,
en cada hoja que brota de cada seca rama,
en las flores abiertas y rosadas,
en el sol que brilla y a las almas cambia la vibra.

Llega en las sonrisas de un niño jugando,
cada vez que los trinos de las aves escuchamos,
cuando degustamos un delicioso helado,
o un refresco con amigos.

Es él el que renueva las energías,
devuelve el ánimo a las almas apagadas,
despierta y genera esas escondidas ganas,
activa el entusiasmo y las positivas palabras.

El verano es muchas cosas, en esta vida,
es el mar, el sol, el verde, los colores en el día,
es ese brillo en los ojos al ver la ciudad encendida,
y la naturaleza llena de luz y armonía.

Son los largos paseos que terminan en la noche cálida,
las largas caminatas a la orilla de la reluciente playa.
Es como una renovación de la energía dormida,
que quiere salir para inundar de alegría la vida.

Vibes of summer.

Like imperceptible flashes in the air,
the warm weather makes a subtle appearance,
like someone who doesn’t want to draw attention,
like waves that roll in gently.

It appears in the streets, mingling with the people,
making their hearts race and bringing smiles to their faces,
because spreading energy is what it has in mind,
multiplying the joy in its breezes.

It arrives in every wave that laps the shore,
in every leaf that sprouts from a dry branch,
in the open, pink blossoms,
in the sun that shines and changes the mood of our souls.

It arrives in the smiles of a child at play,
every time we hear the birdsong,
when we savour a delicious ice cream,
or a soft drink with friends.

It is he who renews our energy,
restores spirit to weary souls,
awakens and stirs those hidden desires,
ignites enthusiasm and positive words.

Summer is many things in this life,
it is the sea, the sun, the greenery, the colours of the day,
it is that sparkle in the eyes when seeing the city alight,
and nature filled with light and harmony.

It is the long strolls that end in the warm night,
the long walks along the shimmering beach.
It is like a renewal of dormant energy,
which longs to break free and fill life with joy.

Este poema va dedicado a toda la comunidad, pero a alguien especial que ya no esta en este mundo, a mi prima en su tercer aniversario. Ella amaba el verano.
