Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the hive learners' featured post. We all have someone we look up to; someone we want to be like, act like, and react to situations like they do.

These days it is quite difficult to find yourself a very good role model. Society is now filled with people who lack good morals and are only after their own selfish interests. This made finding a role model to imitate difficult. We still have a few people we can look up to, people who are willing to sacrifice their happiness just to see another person happy.

The importance of a role model in everyone's life cannot be overemphasized. A role model helps shape your life. They help you see in them what you want to become. I doubt if there's anyone out there without a role model. Your role model could be a family member, an artist, or even a neighbor. It all depends on what you see in them. That pushed you into making them your role model.

Who Is My Role Model.

I was opportuned to cross paths with a lot of people whose characters were worthy of emulation. I still watch them from afar and at some point in my life I will try to follow in their footsteps. My dad is my role model. I am everything I am today, he had a hand in it. I see the type of man I want to become in him. He has not disappointed me for once.

Why Is He My Role Model.

He possesses many qualities, and these qualities are what make him a good role model for anyone who wants to emulate him.

Morals: Sometimes his morals are annoying, but it's just his way. Most of the time, the nature of his job requires one to pay bribes to get what is rightfully his, but he won't. His promotion was delayed for two years because he was standing by his morals. It took the grace of God before the promotion finally reached his hand.

Allowing your promotion to be delayed for two good years all because of morals. Currently, I wouldn't let that happen.

The Way He Controls His Anger: The way he reacts to situations actually makes him unique in his own way. In situations where one is expected to react rudely or harshly, you still see him calm, though he is boiling on the inside. If I could do this, I'd be happy.

Outspoken: He does not sugar-coat situations; he tells you what the truth is anywhere, anytime at all. If you mess up before him, then be ready to hear the sad truth.

Conclusion.

In a nutshell, a role model is someone you can emulate. For this reason, make sure whoever you pick to be your role model is of good morals and will always let you know the bitter truth.

Your dad is just like my mum when it comes to anger she is just calm and doesn't get angry easily.
I learnt from her that anger doesn't find solution but worsen the issue.

Wish your Dad long life so he can continue to be your Role model
