Hello, everyone.

Welcome to my blog. Today is "Creative Sunday," where we share anything creative and made by us. I must say that it is not easy to be creative; you need focus, concentration, and dedication to bring forth anything creative.

We are always advised to eat food that provides the required nutrients to our body system; vegetables seem to be topping the list of things that provide the body with a lot of nutrients.

Not all of us can afford all the expensive foods, so we go for less expensive foods that provide us with exactly the same nutrients the expensive foods provide. Today I prepared yams with vegetables for the Sunday; in the subsequent paragraphs, I will share with you the basic steps involved in the preparation of yams and vegetable sauce.

INGREDIENTS.

  • Yam
  • Vegetables/Spinach
  • Salt
  • Spices
  • Seasoning
  • Onion
  • Pepper and tomato paste
  • groundnut Oil
  • Water

Step 1: Peel The Yam.

The first step taken was to peel off the yam peels, giving me access to the yam itself, which I further diced into smaller pieces. I washed the yam using clean water twice to make sure there were no traces of sand.

Step 2: Put The Yam On Fire While You Slice Your Vegetables.

The second step taken was to put my yam on fire, and while waiting for the yam to be ready, I was busy cutting my vegetables. I had a blunt knife, so I had to go try making it a little sharper by rubbing it on a hard surface. I was able to slice all the vegetables, and my yam was ready.

Step 3: Pour Hot water in A Bowl Containing My Spinach.

It is believed that if you don't use hot water on your spinach before preparation, then it will have a bad odor. People before me did it, so I just have to follow suit. I poured hot water over it, and after 5 minutes, I sieved it out. I then used cold water to wash my vegetables multiple times to make sure there was no sand. I left it in the sieve for some time.

Step 4: Frying My Vegetables

After my vegetable dripped water, I proceeded to fry it. I added my onion to the oil that was already on the fire, my vegetables, and then tomato paste. Finally, my spices and seasonings followed suit. It's more enjoyable when prepared half-done; after some time, I turned off my gas and my food was ready to be served.

I left the food to wash some plates to enable me to serve the food I had just prepared. I had friends coming over, so I needed more than just one plate; I even had to get a tray.
