📸 PhotoFeed Contest - Macro Photography Round 166: Surrealism (ENG-ESP)

​Hi everyone! I took this photo because I found the way the thorny trunk looked when I got close with my phone really interesting. It looks abstract, like a monster, and that caught my eye because you can only see it this way if you get close enough.

​From a distance, among many others of its kind, the plant looks completely normal. No one would guess that it looks half-alien when you take a macro shot 😁. Because of this, I finally understand why some photographers told me they’re passionate about macro photography: you can totally transform reality, and it's actually quite fun.

Hola a todos. Tomé esta foto porque me pareció interesante la forma en que se veía el tronco espinoso cuando me acercaba con el celular. Se ve abstracto, como un monstruo, y eso me llama la atención porque solo se puede ver de esta forma si te acercas lo suficiente.

La planta, de lejos y entre otras muchas otras parece muy normal. Nadie percibiría que al hacerle un macro parezca medio alienígena 😁. Por esta razón, entiendo ahora a algunas fotógrafas cuando me decían que les apasiona la macrofotografía: es que se puede transformar totalmente la realidad y es bastante divertido.
