The photo was taken north of the small town, Cafayate in northern Argentina. This town is located approx. 190 kilometres south of Salta. Driving from Salta to Cafayate along the Quebrada de las Conchas, offers stunning landscape. Along the road you will want to stop so many places to enjoy views like this. All the amazing natural rock formations are signposted, so you won’t miss it. The landscape was formed thousand of years ago from the flow of water and the blowing wind. Oh wow what a place!

Love the powerful and barren starkness of it and can almost feel the stones under your feet walking to get a good angle.

So great to discover wild and far away places through the photo feed contests!
