Italian Wall Lizard

Last few days I was shooting students from some biology college from Netherland who came to Croatia for a maritime biology field study. It was a group of 91 students & it was really a nice job for me to witness their work, hang out with the youngsters and capture all these moments of their scientific research of the sea organisms. They were mostly collecting samples from the sea, including plants and small animals, doing some measurements & experiments & didn't hurt any animal in the process. As we were spending all day long near the seaside & the temperatures were high, many lizards were running around so I decided to catch one in the photo & I did it. Even I was surprised to be able so easily to capture one - maybe I was just lucky this time.

Podarcis siculus

Italian wall lizard in Lat. Podarcis siculus is in Croatian called primorska gušterica & it is not really domestic species in Eastern Adriatic. I was a bit doubting that it is maybe Podarcis melisellensis & I'm still not fully sure about it.

The upper lizard photo I made with Nikon Z6 & Tamron 70-300 mm lens. For the self-portrait below I used Nikon D800 & Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm F/3.3 lens.
