Birdlife and Bees
The six cygnets were having a little nap on the side of the pond with their mum and dad. It's amazing that there are still six, as usually not all of them will make it to adulthood.
The Canada geese only have one gosling left. It is doing well, and the bigger it gets, the better for its survival. They were also having a little snooze at the side of the lido.
The wood pigeon was collecting twigs to perhaps build a nest. I thought the twig was going to be too big and awkward for the wood pigeon to fly off with it, but it managed it in the end. The nest is only made up of a few twigs, so I'm not sure how their eggs manage to stay in there.
I watched a blackbird hover over some duck food in the pond and then somehow managed to pick it out. I've never seen them do that before. It ate the food on the wooden boardwalk around the pond.
More coot chicks, having snacks off their parents.
Lastly, I stopped to look at a few bees looking for food on the poppies and the brambles.

Good morning. The mutualism between the blackbird and the duck is awesome, as they share their food. Many others birds will have preferred to fight over it.
The young cygnets are so beautiful, the coldness of the river is enabling them with a loving nap.
So many great photos in your sublime Sunday Post, cheers.
Thank you @repayme4568. I appreciate that. 🙏
You are welcome.
Good morning my friend. These are such heartwarming pictures.
Thank you very much @drhakam. 🙏
Wow, they have grown quite a bit.
Still cute, though. 🙂
