The new Specialty Coffee delivery came with a present. What does an interactive desktop calendar look like?

I’m happy that I’m back to my usual coffee deliveries and I’m excited about this year and what coffees will Dabov be able to find and deliver here. I’m sure his year schedule is very busy already. He mentions in one of his interviews that he travels more than 200 days in the year to meet with the farmers and find their best coffees. Ethiopia, Kenya, Thailand, India… These are some of the destinations that he may be visiting with the simple mission to bring the best coffees in the world to Bulgaria.

This month we have a Geisha coffee that is 15% off. You remember one of my posts where I met you with the farmers of Geisha Village in Ethiopia? It’s great that I can enjoy this coffee even cheaper now. And! It comes with a special present - an interactive calendar for 2023. I’m sure they have printed more than they can sell at the end of 2022 and now they give presents to their clients. Anyway, this is a well appreciated gift. Let’s see how the calendar looks on inside.

The calendar has QR codes on every day’s box. This leads you to a dedicated page on Dabov Specialty Coffee website that is not accessible without these links. The links have different categories:

Most often, for the first days of January, they seem to duplicate some information and articles from the email newsletter, but this is a really cool way to interact with the customers. They offer more than just coffee beans. You start to feel a part of the whole company and enjoy being their customer even more.

Today’s article is about the Specialty coffee being for everyone. The main highlight is that Specialty Coffee is an exclusive product, who can be quite affordable for everyone. It’s more expensive, but not that much more, and when you find yourself into its world you probably would never want to go back.

Other topics in the article are that Specialty Coffee is first of all tastier than the commercial coffee blends. Secondly, this is a defect free coffee, as all the beans that don’t meet the quality standards are being removed by hand. Another highlight is that Specialty Coffee is 100% arabica, because there hasn’t been produced robusta that will meet the quality standards of specialty and competition coffee.
Last, but not least, specialty coffee helps the farmers with better rewards for their labor, reduces the carbon footstep on the planet and generally helps the climate. A lot of the mainstream coffee has a huge impact on the nature, but that is another topic. I will most likely cover it in another post.

Here’s a link to the article itself: https://bg.dabov.coffee/bg/specialnoto-kafe-e-za-vseki/
It’s in Bulgarian language and I don’t think there is a translation on the website, but if you are interested, you can translate it somewhere.

I’m writing today’s post and reading the article from the interactive calendar in the company of this tasty geisha, and I have to mention that the hand grinder works brilliantly for filter coffee. The decision to use it side by side with the electric grinder is one of the best I have ever made.

Here’s a video of the owner of the company, Mr. Dabov visiting the Geisha Village and seeking for the best beans:

This particular Geisha coffee is light roasted, which helps to keep the beautiful flower, jasmine and fruitful aroma of this variety. Every morning can be delightful and dreamy in the company of a coffee like this.

Before I end my post, let’s take another note. This Ethiopian Geisha coffee was roasted just 3 days ago! That’s the main difference when you have a roastery near you, or maybe just in the country. The coffee that I have bought from the Germany roastery was about 3 months old. This may have some big alternations in the flavor, so buying local is always the best decision. You cannot imagine the fresh aroma of these 3 day old beans when I first opened the bag. It cannot be described easily, but when you find your local roastery and buy some freshly roasted beans, you’ll be able to grab them and dive into the aroma.

That’s for today, wish you a happy and healthy weekend! Enjoy your cup of happiness. And as it’s written on my interactive calendar, “Everyone needs his 15 minutes of joy every day.”

The cream is a delight that forms in the filter, it seems to me that the aroma of the fitrate comes out of my laptop.

I love that you share the variety of coffee offered by this brand. A few days ago I saw a store that sells Geisha type coffee beans but grown in Central America. With this post you have awakened my curiosity! ☕️

Geisha coffee can be grown everywhere… it’s really famous for its beautiful flower jasmine aroma and flavors. It’s always a pleasure to have some of it brewed at home. If you have the chance I’ll strongly recommend you at least to have a cup of it and enjoy its delightful flavor. And of course it’s best when you find some local fresh coffee roasters. This is one of the most crucial properties when it comes to coffee.

Best wishes!
