My adventure with carajillo coffee, and the sweet redemption of the bonbon coffee
Hello dear community, coffee lovers Have you ever walked into a coffee shop feeling adventurous, and decided to try something completely new? That was my experience today, venturing into caffeine with alcohol, something that on other occasions I have found enjoyable, and different. I was very tempted to taste for the first time a Carajillo coffee, here in Cuba it is prepared with rum, but in other countries with whiskey, cognac or other liquors, combined with an espresso, while in Mexico it is drunk cold with coffee liqueur or mezcal.
When I ordered it I thought it came mixed, but I was surprised by its presentation, coffee on one side and rum on the other, at first I thought it was too much rum, but I trusted the result. The first sip was a blow to my taste buds, I felt something too hot and strong going down to my stomach, causing chills and goose bumps, each sip seemed endless.
I'm all for trying new things, but this was on another level. I immediately knew I had to find a solution, so I ordered a café bombón, which became my savior, its sweetness, creaminess, delicious and intense flavor immediately erased the bad memory of the café carajillo.
Sometimes in our eagerness to explore new flavors we stumble upon others that do not convince us, but each cup is a unique experience and teaching. Here's to the varied world of coffee and the adventures it offers us, even if at some point they are not pleasant, cheers ☕️

It is really tasty, although you are left wanting more because it is served in a small cup.
Wow! I wouldn't dare drink coffee like that, that "carajillo" looks intense 😂 fortunately you found that saving bonbon. Greetings @im-yanizet thanks for showing us those exotic coffee drinks 🤗☕
Thank you very much to you for reading 😊, that coffee is extremely strong, I would like to try the Mexican version, cold with coffee liqueur, certainly the bombón coffee is one of the most delicious, 🤗
Coffee and alcohol have never been my thing, but I suppose it makes you double alert! 😯🤣 I can totally understand ordering something smoother afterwards to calm your palate haha! Thanks for sharing ☕️
Thanks for commenting 😊, I have tried other coffee with alcohol, this one was really strong, I felt pure fire in my throat and stomach, I learned that I should not ask for it 🤭.

It is always a pleasure to post in this community, I love coffee 🙌🏻☕, except Carajillo coffee 🤭.
I had heard of this type of coffee, but did not know its name. If I had to visit a coffee shop I would also go for the option of trying something different and very delicious.
You were very descriptive in your narrative
Thank you very much for commenting, I agree with trying something different, although the result may not be so nice, but the important thing is to discover new things, I hope you like it, 🤗.
A 'carajillo' difficult to forget, I can imagine that itch, bitterness and the fire slowly descending to the stomach. That drink is definitely not for me.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.☕
Good day.
Thanks for writing 😊, it is a drink for strong rum lovers, I have had other coffee with alcohol and they were not so strong, next time only if it is with coffee liqueur, 🤗.
Hello friend, a drink that sounds very good, but at the same time you have to be careful and not exceed the alcohol level because otherwise things will not turn out well, without a doubt I have not tried it yet and from what I have seen in photos, everything is mixed and prepared, but the order of the factors does not alter the product, so I will be watching when it comes out and see if I can try it. Great that you enjoyed it and had a great time.
It is one of my favorite coffees, excellent post.
Thanks you very much 🤗
