Coffee, A Brief Story About Love...

IMG_20250117_222950_989.jpg

What a noble food coffee is, for the love of God... It can be used without any kind of schedule, it is a drink that can also be enjoyed cold, hot, warm. With sugar, without sugar. Combined with other ingredients; milk, cocoa, chocolate, cinnamon, oats, etc... It can serve to bring together two people who do not know each other, and start a path toward the most burning romance; or serve as a kind "thanks but no" on a date... In my case, during the last hours of my weekend, it was the companion of my Friday night...

Let me give you a bit of context, ¿okay? My boyfriend and I had way too, seriously; I’m not exaggerating, a lot of time without going out there; just the two of us, without kids no distractions around us one night together. If my memory does not fail me, I think that since October of last year we had not allowed ourselves to share time to dedicate it to each other. You know, when a couple has a date, it is not like when most people go out on a date... At least, not with us. We usually reserve that action to rekindle the flame of our relationship and show each other (and this point is key) that the willingness to want to be with each other is still intact.

So, there I was... It is a beautiful bar-restaurant with no one else but my partner, at night, the two of us together and with energy and exchanging glances (seriously, I love that part. The electricity turns on. And no, I am not talking about current...). The coffees follow one after the other. Some slices of desserts accompany the occasion, and I still feel as a woman that 5 years have passed but I still want to be next to the being who has inspired; not only this post but many other things... Sometimes, to a good understander, few are the words that must be expressed.

He orders a "Latte Vanilla with cinnamon", I a "Capuccino". Previously we had dinner, but the space for the "dessert" was still intact. I do not consider myself a guru in absolutely anything but believe me when I tell you, that there must always be room for the "desserts". I mean it in a literal as well as figurative sense. The coffee break, in this opportunity was just the "what", what there happened inspired other things, but what becomes clearer to me every time, is that it has definitely never been about budgets or showing off. It is absolutely more valuable, for me, to have the initiative to spend (together) a phenomenal night, than to believe that it will not be like that because you do not have money.

In this last point, I refer in general lines to those people who love excuses. I did not go with the unequivocal idea that I would go to "drink coffees and eat sweets" with my boyfriend. We just wanted to accompany our date with the drink that has no schedule, nor knows bad moments, nor ever bothers; coffee. If you push me, almost all the most memorable moments of my life, in some point include coffee in some part of those memorable days. Last Friday, it was not the exception. There will always be excuses, being in a relationship, to postpone romance but as happens with coffee, we decided to take one more sip and enjoy our moment... For me, that is a love story.

Hello there!

Re: Presentation of Post

For Cinnamon Cup Coffee, we are an English-speaking community; however, we ask dual/multi-language speakers to present their posts with English as the dominant language.

Please present ALL ENGLISH ABOVE and ALL NATIVE LANGUAGE BELOW.
If possible, please DO NOT present languages in a column format side-by-side.

The Coffee Team only reads and speaks English, and we use the PeakD function to "Listen to Post", and that function is disabled when presented in a column format or when presented with blocks of one language and then blocks of another.
In either of these formats, the posts become incomprehensible when we attempt to listen, and it distracts from the overall presentation.

Thank you for your cooperation. :)
