Time for some charity raffles in the small villages.
Hello hivers, an happy Sunday to you all!
Here today there are some clouds on the sky (finally!!!) and maybe it will rain tonight or tomorrow. I really cross my fingers for some raindrops from the sky, because here in my area we need to breath a little cooler air, believe me.
Yesterday we spent all the day inside our home between the fans, but after the dinner we went to the small village where my mom lives (and where I was born) because there was a little event to celebrate the Saint Mary.
When I was a child the event was really fantastic. Even if it was a religious feast with a special mass and the procession too, there were a lot of people around the many candy stands, toys stands, music on the back of the church, the fireworks and, sure, my favorite one: the charity raffles!
Since some years the event is really poor of things (and I'm sorry for this). Sure, there is always the special mass and the procession, but this year there was just one candy stand and few people to listen the music. Fortunately there was the charity ruffles and so I went there to buy some tickets with my mom.
Just to know, old women who lives on the village worked hard to have enough prizes for the raffle. They collect different objects around and they also work with hooks and wool to make scarves and other things. For example my mom crocheted some beautiful small lavander bags in form of animals. ❤️
Thanks the tickets I bought there I won something interest to have at home and so I'm really happy!

I love it and it seems nobody used it before me!
I also won a cat to decor my backyard and thinking about how much I love cats, this is perfect for me. 😁
Another thing I wong is a candle in a glass. The smell is not bad, so I can use it for romantic times with my hubby.
The price of the tickets was just 1 euro, so at the end I was really lucky and, at the same time, I gave some mony to the church to make something good.
Well, now I have to come back to my brushes and colors.

Me too, I love raffles! Here, in the small villages around my city, it's common to see charity raffles during the summer events and the one in the village where I was born is a tradition for me. Every here, in August 15th, I buy some tickets there, sometimes I'm lucky and sometimes less lucky, but there is a prize for each ticket and it's always a surprise. They place the tickets in a large glass bottle and you can take them with your hand, so you can read the number on the tickets and the women there give you the prize for that number. Awesome!
