The abandoned hotel in the middle of a forest.
Hello hivers, I wish you an happy Tuesday!
It's really an hot day here today and so I was not in the right mood to paint something new, but I want to share with you something different than my usual contents: a visit to an abandoned hotel between trees and nature!
As I wrote in my previous post, me and my hubby spent some hours of the Sunday on the mountain close to my city, in a small village called Prunetta where I have a small apartment, the apartment where I lived for many years before to meet my hubby.
Prunetta is a nice village between the forests, located around 1000 meters above sea level. During the winter season there are just 300 citizen, but during the hot season there are a lot of people who spend there cool weeks. In the past it was a known village for tourists and there was 3 large hotels, but in the last decades tourists use to come less then before and so the larger hotels was abandoned.
The building was designed in the 1975 by an institution called Ipost ( it was the institution for the families of people who worked in the postal offices) as an holiday center for the children of postal workers and it was operated until the 1997. In the 1997 it was abandonment and now nature seems to be ready to replace the buildings with plants and trees.
In the following pics you can see a part of the buildings now:
I don't know why, but watching this grey building with all the plants that seems to try hide it, I thought at the end Nature (even if slowly) can take back its places.
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

Grazie mille! Qui lo chiamano l'ecomostro della montagna, ma io trovo che abbia un suo fascino così, con le piante attorno che stanno riprendendo i loro spazi. Di notte sembra l'ambientazione perfetta per un classico horror. :P
That looks like somewhere @slobberchops would enjoy exploring. It's amazing how many places get abandoned.
A like so much the urbex contents by @slobberchops ! ❤️
I really hope this building gets back to its functional use.
Get yourself inside, that's where the action is!
While I was there I thought to get myself inside to give an eye all around, but my feet were naked (just flip flops) and I was not so brave. :P The next time I'll take my shoes with me and I'll go inside. 😊
Yeah, that's the spirit. Go back with hob-nailed boots!
