Una mesa de galleta / A cookie table

Traje de un país lejano
una galleta de color claro,
es wafer con sabor avainillado
y mi perro se queda intrigado.

Retiro el farol de una mesa pequeña
y pongo la galleta con delicadeza,
así, más grande quedará la mesa
y pongo la lámpara sobre ella.

I brought back from a faraway land
a light-colored cookie,
a vanilla-flavored wafer,
and my dog is intrigued.

I remove the lantern from a small table
and place the cookie there gently,
so the table will have more room,
and I set the lamp on top of it.

Se ve bastante original,
y me marchó para almorzar,
mi perro siente el olor sin igual
y se acerca con curiosidad.

Las galletas huelen muy agradable
y mi perro la muerde con afanes,
la disfrutá, muy bien sabe,
es una mesa de sabor inigualable.

It looks pretty unique,
and I went off to have lunch,
my dog picks up the unmistakable scent
and approaches curiously.

The cookies smell really good,
and my dog eagerly takes a bite,
he enjoys them, he knows a good thing when he sees it,
it’s a treat with an unbeatable flavor.

Y cuando regreso al lugar,
la mesa mordida está,
hablo con mi perro, que carisbajo va,
él sabe que actuó mal.

Es solo una mesa de galleta,
no voy a pelear por situaciones de esas
es mi culpa por traer cosas excéntricas
para agrandar la mesa pequeña.

And when I return to the spot,
the table is chewed up,
I talk to my dog, who looks downcast,
he knows he did something wrong.

It’s just a cookie table,
I’m not going to make a big deal out of something like that,
it’s my fault for bringing in weird things
to make the small table bigger.
